Here in Japan they have come out with a system that will give you about a 20 second warning before the quake hits. That gives me just enough time to run outside the three story school that I work in.:thumb The warning will come through the tv and radio and I heard on the news last night even through my cell phone. http://www.jma.go.jp/jma/en/Activities/eew.html
