In regards to being "blissfully unaware" about Satanic symbolism, I recently found out what the deal is with the 555 prefix used so frequently in movies and TV shows. On another Christian message board somebody brought up that the 2368 ending of the 555 number featured in the Ghostbusters movie is actually the Greek Gemetria of "Jesus Christ" and they were thinking that was really cool and perhaps prophetic in some way.
I looked it up. That much is true.
However, I couldn't help wondering if the 555 had any Biblical meaning. You know, like 6 is the number of man, so 666 is the Antichrist. 7 is the number of perfection, so 777 means God. I couldn't find any definitive Biblical meaning for 5.
Then I looked up 5 and "meaning" as a general idea in Google...and occult websites came up. Apparently, it symbolizes death to them. (Don't know exactly why, didn't really care at that point to read those sites any further to find out.)
One website claimed that 555-2368 (hate to even type it now) was the most often used number in movies and Tv shows. I don't know if that's true or not, but I did find a list of 10 instances. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more. In addition to Ghostbusters, it was used in the Mel Gibson film "Forever Young" and at the start of every episode of the Rockford Files.
So every time 555 is used in Hollywood, it is a demonic declaration of death.
When 2368 is added, it is a declaration of death to Jesus Christ.

I always thought it was because the prefix 555 is not used for telephone numbers in real life. In the early days of tv and movies, smart alecks were calling the phone numbers used in film, thereby making crank calls and bothering the people who had those numbers in real life.

Yes, but that doesn't rule out a darker meaning.

I am talking about demons here....it sounds exactly like something they'd do....I'm not saying that all writers/producers necessarily know what it means and are using it for God-mocking purposes.

I find that incredibly difficult to believe.

I have not seen this before, just another thing to look out for, I will keep my eyes open. The big thing around here is the "cute" skull and cross bone on everything.
It is getting to the point where we can only buy plane things because everything has been hi-jacked and made into something cultish or gang like.
Eventually we will have to go back to dressing in the buff like Adam and Eve (but I'm sure someone will make that into something evil.:lol2) Just kidding, but it does seem like it’s getting harder and harder for people to find cloths without something demonic on it.

I know exactly what you mean, especially when shopping for my boys. Seems like most clothing lately has some evil looking thing on it - gang or cultish. Like the graffitti look or something. I dunno. :panic
My ds wanted to purchase a skateboard with his Christmas money last year. most all of them had skulls or something ugly on them. :twitch Luckily we found one without all that junk - AND it was only $10 so he had some money left over.

My daughter goes to a Church of Christ church (I have nothing against the denomination but I am Baptist). Anyway, a boy in the 1st grade (6 or maybe 7) had a pencil case that had the skull and crossbones. I took a picture of him and my daughter sitting next to each other and many people thought it was inappropriate to let their child buy that sort of thing. I could see this in public school but I was shocked that the school didn't say anything. I am sure he bought it because of the Pirates of the Caribbean (which I think a first grader is too young to see).

Symbolism has become much more prevalent & sinister these days...
What makes me sad is that many CHOOSE to turn a blind eye to it. Recently I posted a symbol commonly used by the catholic church to illistrate the trinity. It is now being used by a dangerous gang, and wicca. I was accuse of being afraid, and it was hinted that my shock of it being used in my daugters Sunday School curriculum was silly.
Being aware & making other believers aware isn't fear, nor is it silly. It is necessary. Do most of us realise the symbols we use every day come from satanic beginnings? Those who do are afraid to say so. We don't want to get bashed.
