The Global Warming Debate
By Tom DeWeese (04/30/07)

As the skeptics score points, the political climate starts to change - With great fanfare, in March, Al Gore took Capitol Hill like a conquering hero as he testified on Global Warming before both houses of Congress. Fresh from conquests at the Academy Awards where his adoring Hollywood elites showered him with coveted golden statues for spreading their favorite propaganda, Gore was determined to turn his personal conquest into draconian federal law and ultimate human misery.

Gore's words to Congress were predictable. The earth is warming. The polar ice caps are melting. Polar bears are on the run. And it's man's fault. Solution? Ban or control human activities. The mantra of the religion of Global Warming is getting a little boring. It's quite possible, however, that Gore's appearance on the Hill actually represents the beginning of the end of his influence on climate policy rather than the start of a legislative tsunami.

Why? Because even after the Global Warming storm troopers, armed with billions of dollars, the backing of the Hollywood elite, the news media and most of academia have done everything possible to threaten, bully and force their one-sided propaganda on us, the so-called global warming skeptics seem to be coming out of their hiding places in ever greater numbers. The debate is now taking a dramatic change. As the skeptic side is heard, more Americans are beginning to understand that there are legitimate reasons for skepticism. Here are just a few of the latest developments.

......sorry if this is slightly off topic,...but...I heard a blurb on Shepherd Smith's show (I think it was)...and some kooky resort in California has removed the Bibles from nightstands in their rooms and replaced them with Al Gore's book(whatever it's called).......sooo disheartening...........

Here's an article regarding this....http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20670001&refer=us&sid=afIESX3LdgnQ

"Visitors to the Gaia Napa Valley Hotel and Spa won't find the Gideon Bible in the nightstand drawer. Instead, on the bureau will be a copy of ``An Inconvenient Truth,'' former Vice President Al Gore's book about global warming."

The weather pattern is changing. This is not new. It has happened to the earth before. All that's going on here is the religious environmentalists are scared to death of not living on this earth. So they've come up with all kinds of crazy ideas to have you live like a third world nation and make money off you. There is nothing mere humans can do about it but adjust to it.

Europe will be colder. The U.S. in some areas will be warmer and other parts of the U.S. will be colder than they were. The bad news is that humans simply aren't going to change this.

Glenn Beck had a good special on this exposing the nonsensical fabrications. I missed that one but have seen others. Global warming, environmentalists ... all religions for those who seek eternal life on this earth. Silly people.

Glenn Beck's show was awesome! You should really try to find it to watch.

IMO...And I can back it with Scripture no problem...GW is the New Tower of Babel. In fact, I even wonder if it is the whore of Babylon...i.e., Gaia and the symbol of a femine influence over the earth (but I am not really dogmatic on that part...that is just a musing). It is nothing less that man fearing the Flood again and building a Tower in the form of world-wide environmental changes to prevent it. It is rebellion in the highest order...God promised he would never flood the earth again...GW scare tactics is a slap in His face and also denies that He is going to judge the earth by fire...and soon!

With all of the current debates about global warming, and it's implications to world. Some Christian's are referring to the phenomenon as one of the last plaques. Because the Bible is an intricate detailed work of God's creation, I am compelled to believe the following:

2 Pet 3:8

But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ps 139:5

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heaveans shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with feverant heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Rev 15 1:2

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Since a moment in time is like a thousand years to the Lord. And no one can say to a certainty how God's plan has evolved;

Could God's ministry be infinate? Has it ministered against evil from the beginning, not allowing evil to take full root?

And has that manifested itself through God's word, still being praised today?

Is God's love in intercession? Allowing mankind to remember, consider and glorify His word.

The debate about global warming is emphasized by facts:

SPACE.com -- Global Warming on Pluto Puzzles ScientistsPluto's atmospheric pressure has tripled over the past 14 years, indicating a stark temperature rise, the researchers said.

Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist SaysSimultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet's recent ... that the current global warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun.

Sun Responsible for Global WarmingTwo new reports cast doubt on the manmade global warming theory and instead point to another cause for the recent warming of Earth changes in the sun.

Cause for Global Warming/Hole in Ozone LayerIncreasing the amount of C02 in the atmosphere will increase the amount of reflected energy capture and lead to a temperature increase.

The cause of global warming is the depletion of the ozone layer. Co2 emissions ares escaping into outerspace, and heating the Sun, whereby the Earth is receiving more heat from the Sun.

Has the bible described these events?

While pondering the question of the universe, man's existence, technology, global warming, and development; I took the Faith vs. Science road. Along my journey I understood: They are one in the same. As we try and fail to keep up with the universe, we are reminded that the creator is infinate.

How do we try to keep up with the creator? : Science.

Man has made great strides in attempting to match God's will and keep up with the universe.

Then what is taking the next step? Utilizing existing technology and expanding infrastructure.

What do you do if you have five months of existence left on earth? Will you be ready to defend your planet from an apocalyptic disaster? Those are the questions of the future. Which deem the final question: Who will have the last word Man or the Universe? And if man has the answers, isn't that what God always wanted for man from the beginning?

1 Tim 6:20-21

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain
babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

1 Tim 4:6, 4-8-9

If thou put the brethren in remeberence of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourshing up the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

I have been reading the bible for most of my life. I find comfort and guidance through many verses, and scriptures. I have written a new Christian Science Fiction novel. The book is now available. The name of the book is: called Moon Over Key Biscayne. Many scriptures are incorporated within the book, which takes a look a the world as it is faced of an apocalypitic challenge. I read the Left Behind Series, as well as many other novels with a Christian influence. I attempted to incorporate Christian writing with the struggles and challenges that people encounter in their lives, as it relates to the world today.
