free ebooks

www.wowio.com

This site has loads of free ebooks. They have classics and books like "Great Ancient Egypt Projects You Can Build Yourself" Also art books. You can only download 3 a day but I have a nice little list in my que.

Not all the books are kid friendly so I would be cautious about letting them roam the site..FYI

I don't homeschool anymore, but a great resource for free/cheap circulum helps is 4-H. There books are excellent. When I was homeschooling my girls we were in a 4-H group that was made up of mainly homeschoolers. Not only do the kids get alot of "fun" time they learn alot of valuable leadership skills. I think in the years my girls were in 4-H we signed up for everything imaganiable. Small engine repair was great...I learned just about everything about our riding lawn mowers engine and can repair it now! The 4 years I homeschooled were my absolute favorite...so keep up the good work ladies!

I found this link today when I was cruising the internet. It is old cookbooks/housekeeping books. They are all scanned in so you can read through them. The one twords the bottom I noticed was The Young House-Keeper. I didn't get a chance to go through alot of it, but it looked very interesting. I think I noticed the publish date was 1838. These would be great for anyone doing unit studies! Enjoy.
