I wonder if she plans on extending this five grand to all the illegal alien babies too. We will pay 50% of our salaries in taxes if she gets elected. With her 110 billion healthcare package and her $5,000 village tax.

Wonder if this will cut down on the number of abortions.

Wouldn't it be better for the babies' futures to bring back all of the outsourced jobs, the American plants that have moved overseas, start buying American made only, and give the little ones a place to work when they grow up?

But won't bringing back those plants and outsourced jobs actually raise the price of goods? Increase price --> decrease demand --> fewer jobs.

So that means, that I, as a single person and already in a huge tax bracket because I'm single, will have to cough up $5000 more bucks to help pay for this.
No. Your share of this will not be $5000...more like $20, likely.

The problem is not so much the $5,000 per baby. The problem comes with the a) new agencies to administrate this service, b) new agencies to enforce and oversee, c) larger agencies to seek complience of persons and businesses related to the program.

If we saw a program that managed to get ten cents of every dollar reserved actually out to the kiddos, I'd probably have a heart attack on the spot. I'd be much more expecting of one cent per dollar. But, even at ten cents, that would put the actual price tag closer to $200 billion. (And, at my much more cynical expectation of $.01 per dollar, that would rise to two trillion dollars per year. And THAT seems much more likely from the "Government That Cares....")

FYI...the Medicare program spends 97 cents of every dollar on health care, and only 3 cents on administration.

No private insurance company spends less than 12 cents on administration.

Could you post a link for that statistic? I'd like to know a little more.
