Hehe..

I don't usually wear 'britches', if I do, it's palazzos that are really loose. (I have a curvy figure).

I try to do the Black and Brown thing with my shoes as well. Some things go well with shades of brown, others with black, or something completely different (like red!)..

I switch out from time to time between high heels and flats, and I have a tendency to go with the flow out here, a bit more preppy than 'laid back' though I am laid back in the preppy look. :)

I always felt over dressed back home, but now I see I'm dressed just fine out here. I never knew my problem was just my location. :D

Clogs, now there's a good idea to go looking for now that I'm PG and won't be wanting 'shoes' as much as I did before ...

I have quite a few!! I am not sure how many and I really don't want to go count. But I will say this, sitting on my coffee table right at this very moment are 5 or 6 pages of shoes which I pulled out of my in style magazine last night. (yes, I plan on buying a few of them) I LOVE SHOES AND BAGS!

1 pair of English-style riding boots (the tall ones that come up to the knee for the purpose of riding horses), 3 pair of heeled dress boots, 2 pairs of sneakers worn when working around horses (when one pair gets wet I change my shoes so my feet don't get sore from being wet all day), 1 pair of brown suade casual shoes, 2 pairs espadrilles, 4 pairs of pumps, 2 pairs heeled sandles, 1 pair flip-flops, 2 pairs house slippers (do these count?)

I think that's all. I tore ligiments in my ankle so I can't exactly jump up and count them all. Oh, I almost forgot. I also have a boot I have to put my bad foot in to keep it stablized (which I don't wear unless I leave the house).

BTW, who is Imelda Marcos???

I have:
2 pairs of sandals, one white, one black
1 pair of tennis shoes
1 pair of winter boots
2 pairs of dress shoes, both black

I'm just not really into shoes. I don't see how someone can own alot of shoes, too me it's ridiculous (mho) :)

BTW, who is Imelda Marcos???

From Wikipedia (the opening paragraph!):
Imelda Trinidad Romuáldez-Marcos (born July 2, 1929 in Manila) is a former First Lady and influential political figure in the Philippines. She is known as the "Steel Butterfly" and remains a controversial figure not only in her home country, but around the world. Her extensive shoe collection is world-renowned.

OK, ladies. I need help. I went shopping the other day. Great shoe sale, really cute shoes, and couldn't buy any because I just kept hearing my husband's voice in my head "You bought another pair of shoes?" I put on clothes for church this morning and had no shoes to match. Now, the crazy part of all this is, my husband agreed with me that he would have said that if I bought more shoes AND that I didn't have any to match this morning.

So, my question is, how many pairs of shoes do you have? How many is too many? I'll go first... I just counted and I have 23 pairs, although 9 of them are either old work outside kind of shoes or out of style and I never wear them anymore.

Oh you just had to bring up this subject didn't you? Evil woman!!!!:dance2

My answer is TOO MANY!!! But then again who's to say how much is too many shoes for a woman? :pound

You only have 23 pairs? Oh I am soooooooooooo not gonna tell you how many pairs I own. Nope not gonna go there.

Now my redeeming quality is that I don't do purses and handbags. So it's evened out. Only time I do is if I've had to have one for something formal like the governor's inaugural ball or something like that.

I don't like to carry purses. Never have and with the fibromyalgia and the rotator cuff surgeries on both shoulders then that just settled the issue. I tend to put too much in them and then get myself out of balance and then a problem happens.

Plus, a purse on a woman is the first thing a criminal would go for.......certainly not shoes!:pound Not having one keeps my hands free to get to my pistol if I need it even if I'm wearing a new pair of Manolo Blahniks.:spew

I have one of those small ID thingeys made of black leather that just allows my credit cards, debit card, DL, CCW etc. and some cash to fit in it. It's black leather and I bought some Swarovski crystal tatoo thingeys (meant to stick on your body in a specific design and wear for days) and decorated the outside of it. Looks pretty spiffy now. Anyway, I keep it in the console of my Hummer and either stick it in a pocket or around my neck and under my clothes when I am out and about.

So I trade purses for shoes.:heh

:whistle Further confession: I didn't count flip-flops. I don't really think those should count, although my dh disagrees with me on that.

You're correct. Flip flops and certain sandles do not count. Tell your DH that those are THE RULES!!!!!:heh

My hubby doesn't post but he reads. Betcha he has something to say to me about this thread. Whew........boy am I glad he doesn't post. He'd out me in a NY minute. :fear
