I would love to hear your list of science books you read to your kids' ages: 7-14 years old.. like living science not textbooks.
I don't like doing projects very much -- but i love to read to them and they love for me too as well!

I think Apologia's books by Jeannie Fulbright are pretty hard to beat.

I have heard of her from some of the yahoo groups i'm on... So they are fun and interesting to read? I admit i've never used or even seen one.. :idunno
I keep feeling like during this pregnancy reading is going to be our mainstay to keep us focused on learning.. I am having some difficulty with this pregnancy and just so tired.
Thank you for the idea, i will check her books out...

They are extensive, extrememly informative and use wonderful photography. They have activities if you want. They're hardcover and spendy, but you'll use them a lot. You could see if a friend has them to look at before you buy. Here's one place that sells them http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product?item_no=337002&event=1016AEM|1124589|60624#curr for $25 each and you can view sample pages from the books. By the way, I've only used the Elementary level books (there are currently 4, I think) and they're quite challenging already!
Sorry about the link -- I can't get it to work. Copy and paste it into your browser. Or go to www.christianbook.com and search for Exploring Creation with Botany.

We use God's Inhabited Word, Rod & Staff, and have found them to be solid Bible-based curriculum. The Science book has experiments, fun activities and places the emphasis in the only place it belongs for Christians, Creation; however, they do compare and contrast with the hypothesis of evolution. We have some like-new books for sale for 6th grade if you are interested in them for a very fair price.
Shalom in Christ

I like Considering God's Creation. It is fun and has a lot of hands on. Hubby even loves it.
Now, were you asking about curriculum or just books to read to them?? For real book, go to answers in genesis. They even have a website for kids. My kids love the book on dinos
