:heythere I have had this problem since I started making cookies. How do you get the chocolate chips to get all melty and gooey when you bake them? Even tho my cookies are baked and hot my chocolate chips do not melt. I have tried different brands but nothing helps. Does anyone else have this problem?:idunno

They really aren't supposed to melt.. they only way I get gooey chips is to eat them right out of the oven........ that is the best way!!

Have you tried Ghirardelli chololate chips? For chips to be soft they need to have a higher butterfat content in them. Nestle Toll House or Hershey won't work in the cookie you are seeking.

I have not tried this brand but will do so. I wanted them to be like on the commercials where you pull the cookie apart and all the chocolate is all melty. yummmm. I did it that way once a long time ago but it was a fluke and I don't know what I did and have not been able to get them to do it again. Thanks.

I think they are pulling them apart when they are either very warm from the oven or they are fake chips and its for commercial ads only, not edible. They use so many tricks on commercials to make food appetizing. Watched one of those shows that told you "How did they Do That".

Not very appetizing to watch but certainly it was educational

I use a clay pan for cookies, they turn out great every time and are pretty hard to burn. The clay pan heats the cookies more evenly and the chips get meltier(a new word I just made up).

This is so true. Where do you find chocolate chips like those, or is it better to just make 'em on your own? :hehee

I've been wanting chocolate chips for a while, I guess I had better go make some cookies before I drive myself nuts
