Astronomers have spotted evidence of a second Earth being built around a distant star 424 light-years away.

Using NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, astronomers have spotted a huge belt of warm dust swirling around a young star called HD 113766 that is just slightly larger than our sun. The dust belt, which scientists suspect is clumping together to form planets, is located in the middle of the star system's terrestrial habitable zone where temperatures are moderate enough to sustain liquid water. Scientists estimate there is enough material in the belt to form a Mars-sized world or larger.

Ok, just one thing, Why does NASA always have to use such wierd names for planets? Wheres the creativity? Also, our moon, is called Moon. But, all the other planets moons have names.

But no, this is very creepy, and I'm hoping before they all get too into this, we are home.

Not sure what some in the scientific community tries to prove with this type of commentary. So what if there is a new planet forming? God is such a creative, amazing father. Perhaps he is creating something new and wonderful. Or perhaps someone has too much time on their hands LOL

You have a point there. I never really though about a name for our moon. Now I wonder why they name the others but not our moon?:idunno

Well, actually our moon does have a name. An ancient name given by the Ancient of Days ....

It's known as Less in it's abbreviated form. It's full name is lesser light.

Genesis 1:
14 *¶And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 *And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 *And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 *And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 *And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 *And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Seriously though ..... 424 million light years, eh? Well, one light year is close to six trillion miles. So 424 of them would be 2,544,000,000,000,000 miles. Now, there has been controversy over whether or not Pluto is a planet and even more controversy over whether or not there is a tenth planet in our solar system. Pluto and the supposed tenth planet are really in our "backyard" astonomically speaking at a mere a tad over 3 billion miles from the earth on average (it varies). So dividing 424 light years by 3 billion, we get 848,000. So, we have serious questions about Pluto and yet, this supposed "forming earth" is 848,000 TIMES as far from the earth as Pluto. I think they'd have a hard time determining what some dust is GOING to do at that distance.

It reminds me of the old joke ..... a little girl is in Sunday school and hears, "From dust you came and to dust you shall return". They get home and mom tells her to clean her room. She comes running out and says, "mommy, mommy! There's someone under my bed but I don't know if they're coming or going!"

Isa 66:22 ¶ For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
