Those Mac commercials really hit the nail on the head with the problems with PCs. I have a Mac running both Mac OS and Windows, and Windows is so much more stable on the Mac than the PC I had before it. Go figure!

I run XP on my homebuilt machine and never have any issues...reboot once a month or so for fun...blue screen? not one...ever..

Both of you are also fairly knowledgable when it comes to computers and taking care of them.

Give a complete n00b a PC and a Mac, and let 'er rip, and see which one crashes first. :p

Good point. :p My point is that people just want to 'hop on a computer and go.' The reason that most people I know who own Macs own them (including the geeks and professionals) is because they are very powerful, great for doing graphics work...but at the same time, you don't have to constantly load adware/spyware/antivirus programs and checkers on them.

Might have to be done some day....but as for now, when I first got my Mac, I started playing right away. When I first got my PC, I needed to load my antivirus program, then my malware/spyware checkers, THEN I was ready to go.

My Etch-a-Sketch still needs no antivirus or spy blockers.
And it is the easiest to fix if it gets messed up...
