Yay, I'm so glad someone started another thread! Yep, we homeschool (today was not a good day at homeschooling). Girls are 8, 5 and 3. We use Math-U-See, Abeka, Beautiful Feet, and other smatterings of things. We're in a co-op where the older ones are taking science, K, and PE and we supplement with outside swimming, piano and art classes.

10 kids here. 15, 12, 11, 9, 8, 6, 4, 4, 3, and 19 months. Girl,Boy,Girl,Boy,Boy,Boy,girl,girl,girl,girl and another due June 2nd. We don't know what that one is, but I think it's a boy.
I only homeschool the oldest two and I use LifePac from Alpha Omega with my oldest. For my son, it's anything that works with him.

Where do the other kids go (public/private)?
I don't know how people with many kids homeschool all of them -- I struggle with giving the two the instruction they need. While one is waiting for me to explain a math concept, the other is waiting for their next "assignment". Back and forth all morning and I don't feel that either is really getting good instruction.

Hi!
I have a boy 8 and a girl 6. We just started homeschooling this year. Started with Weaver Unit studies and Math-U-See. Now I am using Math-U-See, BJU Heritage Studies, Abeka Health and Safety, Apologia elem. Astronomy and an online phonics program! Much more fun to mix it up!
Always good to meet other homeschoolers.

We use a combination of a multitude of stuff. I would call us ecclectic but with a literary/classical flair adding a severe emphasis on God's sovereignty through history. I love the freedom of how homeschooling provides a perfect fit for what each individual family may need to use!
Next year I'm going to simplify and try using a curriculum I found that may have most of what I'm looking for that will be a little more mapped out for me. At this time of the year I'm always looking forward to next year.....maybe because I'm looking at all my mistakes and shortcommings and unfinished work and think "AH...BUT NEXT YEAR WILL BE PERFECT!" sheesh!

My boys use lifepac bible this year. They like the little books vs the one big book

We have four kids and have been homeschooling for 14 year. The 19 year old is now in college, the 16 year old is doing some algebra, some economics and lots of art/computer graphics and reading/writing of his own accord. He is very much an unschooler. The girls, ages 13 and 11, are doing Singapore math, Winston grammar, a daily geography program, Writing Strands, What in the World is Going on Here history by Diana Ware which I supplement with great literature, Bible devotional material, and Rosetta Stone Spanish....oh...also English from the Roots Up. They mostly teach themselves and ask me for help occasionally....oh yeah, and Switched on Schoolhouse Science.

Homeschooler here. I have two kids, 16 and 7. The highschooler is the thoughest to homeschool because of all the extra stuff she does. Been homeschooling for almost 9 years.:faint Sometimes, I wish I could put them in private school, but then I get over it, and realize this is the best thing.
