Hello Everyone,
I just lost my job the other day and I am currently looking for work; I have some potentional leads, but I would be interested in finding something to supplement any income I get.
I am very interested in working from home and I would like to get a heads up about info on how to do it (Who, how, and where).
Mainly, I'm interested in doing data entry / typing. I really hope someone can help me with this. I don't know who's legit and who's not. They always sounded like ripoffs or scams to me. If you can't mention the name of the company here, please PM me.

If you need the money, stick with the want ads/job hunt and get employment out of the house.
If you have the luxury of not needing income for a few months, then checking out work from home could be an alternative or supplement.
Don't put your family in jeopardy if yours is the only income.

ah, even though I'm not a lady :) I got a good answer for ya.
Become a virtual office assistant. Do a google search...
If you have internet access, are good at doing dictations, willing to market yourself, (willing to learn basic web design to really get some good money coming in), then send me a private message and I'll see if I can get you in touch with my next door neighbor.
She started some sort of virtual assistant thing about 2 years ago, and 2 weeks ago quiet her full time job because she has been able to grow her client base. If you like that kind of work, you might be able to build enough clients very quickly. I know my neighbor had to turn down clients for a long time until her and her husband decided it was stable enough for her to do it full time.
I think she might be (but I"m not sure) looking for other women that wanted some part time income because she was starting to get more customers than she could handle.
I warn you though, you have to be able to get documents typed up on tight deadlines, and able to do revisions quickly, etc.. work with power point, work well with others over the phone, etc..

Part time I do transcription from home. I have worked for medical and/or dental. However, you need the equipment. I have a Wavplayer/footpedal and a dictation machine. They can be expensive. I usually get between 10-15 a line. I pay out twelve to the girl who types for me. It normally brings around 400-800 dollars a month in extra income from the detetive agency that I work for. You clientale base would be medical billing, detective agencies, and insurance companies and or adjusters (Typing statements)
Virtual assistant is good too, there is a huge market in the legal field for that. I work full time as a paralegal but wanted to do that full time. A co-worker processes order for QVC, and stuff like that and she said it was pretty good money.
