I'm a transit bus driver. The pay is pretty good. The bennies include vacation, sick pay, floating holidays, medical, dental, vision, retirement. Been doing it now for the past year. It's a great job! I get to drive all over this beautiful island on which I live. I also get to meet all kinds of interesting people. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because can't believe my job provides me all of these things just for driving around.
Before this I was carpet installer for over 20 years. No bennies included in that job. Had to get out of it before I wrecked my knees. My back is so-so as it is.
How about you? What do you do?

Hello
I am an auto technician instructor by day and a diagnostic technician by night (car computer stuff). So if anyone has any car questions I may be able to give some advise.
I look forward to getting to know more of you and I think this is a great place to start. Thanks mbtcforJesus for starting this thread.

I was self employed for 35 years in residential construction and rehab. I retired about a year ago. And I haven't quite got the knack of that down yet. I find it harder than getting up everyday and going to work. So I bought a couple of houses near my grandbaby and now I'm a landlord.

I'm self employed as well.. I own a light auto repair shop. We do tires, brakes, suspension work, and alignments... We also lift and lower trucks along with lower cars when people want us to!

I am in Information Technology, a Citrix Architect. I work at a large bank in downtown Chicago. Take the train to work which gives me plenty of time to read the bible!
