View Full Version : Liberal Mob Rage & Protests on Occupy Wall Street

I've been following the occupations pretty closely, and although I agree that there are some that do not seem to be very peaceful oriented, they seem to be at this point, the minority, -not the majority. Violence is NOT a part of these protests, and the assemblies make it clear, that everyone is to keep everyone else in check, and those causing or promoting violence, are turned in to authorities by other occupiers.
Most of them have very valid reasons for being a part of this. They do not know what all of this may bring about, and neither do we. I can't help but respect the innocent people who are just trying to stand up and be heard. If the Lord should tarry, who knows, - maybe they will make a positive difference in the world.
Many of us here on this board have complained about the poor job our leaders are doing. These folks are letting the world know. They are trying to do something about it. They are from all walks of life, and many professional people in their 40's, 50's, and 60's are there. I have seen people I personally know on video coverage at some of these events, and they are far from the radicals they are being portrayed to be.
Not all of the cities are handling things the way NYPD is handling it. I have seen video coverage from other cities/states, where the PD's are actually standing with the crowd and having their pictures taken with them. Some places, you will see EMS, security, etc. signing posters along with the occupiers, and it is very peaceful. Some of the cities understand, that by standing with the people, and being there only in case something gets out of hand, they can actually lessen the possibility of things turning bad. Yes, SWAT is there in some places, but from what I understand, are staying very much in the background at most of cities, and are only there for emergencies. Some of the cities I have seen seem to be having a very positive, and calm occupation.
Not everyone participating is evil. Some are just standing up, and to say that they are spoiled, is absolutely uncalled for, and it is absolutely not true. It is not fair to take a few in a crowd, and make a blanket statement judging everyone involved. I am actually very disappointed in the hatred that seems to be coming from some people on this forum, and the name-calling is absolutely ridiculous. Regardless of how all of this turns out, none of it could happen without God allowing it to happen. Right or wrong, at least they are trying to do something, which is more than I can say for most, and they are trying to do it peacefully. This is not a riot, - it is far from it. It is people trying to be heard, and letting our leaders know what is truly important to them as individuals.

I second all of this... I bolded a point that seems very valid in my eyes as well.

It's the failure of Obama's leadership that causes a mess like this. Why doesn't Obama throw the bank crooks in jail instead of tossing all our tax money into their coffers? Obama's silence and union support makes it highly suspicious.
The group needs to be separated into two divisions; there are good and bad reasons for being there; the removal of capitalism should not be a good reason for protesting.
This will all eventually be resolved by the AC and his one world currency plan.

I've heard a semi-consistent theme of "protesting capitalism." It would be funny if it wasn't so incredibly naive and immature. Here is a slogan for them....
Hand, spite thy face!
All better?
Cuba has a dirt hut ready and waiting for you, move now and get the best prices!

I likewise agree with the above posters and it is very disappointing. It's not those names buzzardhut, but the manner of name calling I cite below. Granted only one of the below is from this thread in particular, but these are some of the name calling posts I have read just recently, and condoned on the forums.
There's enough name calling and hatred in the world as it is without it going on in a Christian community. This is not the fruit of the spirit of God nor does it edify those who read it. We become just as bad when we engage the same manner of behavior as they, and I dare say it is childish and offensive, and does not glorify the Lord. I have too often myself been the object of such ridicule and it's not nice at all. It has often come at a time during personal struggles and difficulties. It is not merely easy to call names, but often quite cowardly. "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you" (Luke 6:31).
I love coming here to talk about Jesus, the end-times and the rapture. But I too am feeling discouraged to participate with some of the attitudes displayed on occasion. We all really need to keep our eyes on Jesus in these last days! These are very challenging days! We're here waiting for the Lord to come and the world around us is beginning to falling apart. Let us keep our eyes on Him. :pray

Use the report function for questionable posts. We also edit out more than you know, and then get called names for that.
I'd like to nuke the whole political forum, then you'd really see some name calling come my way.

I agree that this will all eventually be resolved by the AC and his one world currency plan, - but we all knew that was going to happen anyway, - we just didn't know what would happen to bring it all about. I agree, - this could be part of what brings it all about, - however, - if that is the case, - seems to me that we'll all be going home soon!

....posts I have read just recently, and condoned on the forums.
Don't mistake the leaving of a post on the boards as necessarily condoning same. Sometimes we leave the posts up so folks can see what "foot in mouth" syndrome looks like.
As far as these crowds of mostly young people gathering on Wall Street and other places is concerned - They are mostly populated by young idealists who have been brainwashed into thinking that capitalism is wrong and that liberalism, fascism in various forms, and, Marxism in particular, are the ways to nirvana. They have no idea of the extent of the bondage they would willingly subject themselves to ....:tsk
