Please don't be condescending.. (maybe i am reading your tone wrong?) YES corporations are supposed to make money - they are also supposed to employ people in A job at a fair wage - - not several jobs for the a ridiculous low wage that is near impossible to live off of, even with an education, i am not talking about hand outs or getting something you haven't worked hard for..... They purposely cut staff to continue to make money in this recession, knowing their employees would be hurt, they just hired more part-time workers.. They cut their workers' hours by half or more.. Cut insurance - when our hours got cut.. And vacation pay, haha - that was first to go.... It is wrong for you to say that! Standing up for the right thing is NEVER wrong! I would venture to say - not all of us in the 99% are Obama lovers' i am certainly not.. and most i have talked to either didn't vote for him or wouldn't again - this has nothing to do w/him, HE IS THE ONE MAKING IT A DEMOCRATIC thing, that doesn't mean it can't turn into something like that, but i would like to see it turn into what i said above.. And i am certainly not asking for a hand out! I am trying to get a job - Obama may try and take this and make it his party plan to get re-elected.. But that would ruin it - b/c he is part of the problem and so are the republicans! Neither party gives a d*mn about the American people! This has nothing at all to do w/someone else's wealth and being jealous of it - are you kidding me?!! I would just like for the job my husband went to school for would still be there after the fumble of Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama in this whole stinkin' mess that goes back to Clinton w/the original handling of the banks and allowing the prime loans! Do you not care about the 40% that are STILL unemployed after all this time - many of us are homeless, jobless, w/out insurance anymore... and our resources and savings are gone! We have made do and we have waited and we have looked.... So you're saying suck it up... We work for ridiculous wages and we should just put up with it and use state aid to get by b/c big business can't afford to pay a FAIR wage..... Is that really where you are coming from....I would also go on to agree with what Cain said in a interview today or yesterday (though i'm not sure i like him personally for president yet)- that we should also be at the White House occupying - they are the ones that made this mess.. and allowed all the stimulus, etc, etc, ad nauseum! And i agree - it is mostly the politicians that have allowed this ridiculousness times 10...These Occupiers' may not be perfect - and they may not have it all organized or put together just yet.... But if No one speaks up it will ALWAYS be business as usual.. and we will continue to be slaves to the rich and slaves to quite frankly a bad system that needs to be changed! B/c the wages they are offering the majority or people right now is NOT a livable wage (even w/an education) .... Let me be clear i am NOT an Obama supporter - nor do i support him trying to step in and make this HIS agenda - i heard his speech the other nite and IMO that is exactly what he is trying to do! And i can also see some in this movement that have wrong motives and wrong ideas (liberal thinking to the extreme) but that does NOT make this whole Diverse movement not a GOOD thing?!! Good people must stand up, if they want change! Otherwise many Americans will be living in those shanties of the depression if things don't change b/c it's not getting better out there folks, in 3 years it has gotten alot worse and alot harder, even for a Christian family w/God's protection.... AND trying to do the right thing!I will PM you the blog if you would like. It is what piqued my whole interest in this movement to begin with.. If you really want to see what i'm talking about.... I can't do it justice, b/c i am not a good speaker and still have more to learn and i am not in agreement with everything - but by prayer and being watchful of what He may be doing! But these people moved me with their sad reality.... everyday for them and sadly has become for my family too... :( 3 years ago i didn't have a clue, not on purpose just didn't get it.... I am seeing things much more clearly now.. and it's sad to say the least! The kingdom of God is not about protesting for your fair share, nor is it about worrying over someone else's money.

I have contempt for the protests on the whole and many of the protestors in particular. I feel sorry for the duped few who are there with their misdirected anger. Those needing "help" are a far cry from the communists, anarchists, labor union thugs who are drumming up all this rage, yet they are being swept up in this evil movement.

The "1%" are still employing hundreds of thousands and maybe more. Why are they cutting hours and insurance by making people part time? That problem is caused by D.C. and not "greed". Give this some thought "99ers" if they were greedy they would want to make more money, expand their businesses and exploit the little man. They don't, they are fearful of more business destroying policy coming from D.C. Things like the Millionaire's tax, obamacare, dodd-frank, green policy/EPA just to name a few. No CEO in their right mind would risk their company's well being by investing and expanding in this toxic business climate. A climate cause by obama, who if they voted in the last election, likely voted for and still support him.

If only the "99ers" would fully educate themselves, the well intentioned protestors (all 5 of them) would leave the stench, put down their posters and go home. They would engage in what is needed to do what is needed to grow the economy and get people back to work. (Assuming God gives us a reprieve)

Please, for the posters sympathetic to the "99ers" what are they proposing that will help anything in America? Answer: Nothing!

Put yourself in any business owner's position, and hear the protestors demands.....

* An artificially high "minimum wage" I have heard $20.00 floated.
* Provide healthcare to every "worker"
* Unionize the workforce.
* Nationalize all business.
* Confiscate all the wealth of the "rich" however they define "rich"

Those are just some of what is being demanded by these people.

The "99ers" are not mainstream, and they are certainly not the "Tea Party". For the non dreadlock wearing, pot smoking, shower averting, birkenstock wearing, hippie throwback malcontents who want to see change, get with the "Tea Party" because they are the ones who represent what we need.

Tea Party: A one day, non violent, non messy, expression of what is needed to repair the country. They meet for a day and go home, with no mess left behind, why? Because they have lives and jobs!!! They have a voice and began to change the dynamic in D.C. with the gains in 2010, and are poised to usher in more in 2012.

"99ers" take over public places, make a scene, leave a horrible mess and display what is the worst of human nature. They linger because this is their job and their life. Think that is mean and unsympathetic? Look at their words, fruit and objectives and prove me wrong.

Seriously, look at what these mobs want to see in the U.S. and compare that to what normal Americans in the Tea Party want. Then, ask yourself, which country would you want to live in?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Occupy Wall Street is on the move ... uptown.

Why uptown? Because that's where the rich folks live!

Organizers are planning a march on Tuesday that will visit the homes of JP Morgan Chase (JPM, Fortune 500) CEO Jamie Dimon, billionaire David Koch, hedge fund honcho John Paulson, Howard Milstein, and News Corp (NWSA, Fortune 500) CEO Rupert Murdoch.

The millionaires and billionaires are being targeted for what event organizers called a "willingness to hoard wealth at the expense of the 99%."

So far, protesters have not strayed too far from downtown, where a home base of sorts has been established at Zuccotti Park.

@MochaMel:

Please do not let the responses here in this topic thread get you down.

Indeed, I am amazed at the *total lack of empathy* and the utter "hard-heartedness" that is shown here by a number of people here in this topic thread concerning the plight of the MANY jobless and under-employed people here in the United States of America!

Folks, while I certainly do NOT agree with many of the things that this "Occupy Wall Street movement" stands for, just remember that MANY people here in the United States of America ARE desperate, and thus, they are doing desperate things.

To use such **nasty, un-sympathetic, and cold-hearted remarks**, (remarks that a number of people have been using here in this topic thread), in talking about ALL of these protesting people is, in my opinion, **very cold-hearted and totally un-called for** on this, a Christian Bulletin Board!

Saved By Jesus

((hugs)) thank you! =) I completely agree with you.... <3 Thank you!

And pray for those who are deceived by this movement. :pray

Absolutely! These people need prayer and careful handling. The more opposition to them, the more inflamed they become.

These are stupid people.

They aren't stupid. See above. :sad

Tuesday's march -- organized by UnitedNY, the Strong Economy for All Coalition, the Working Families Party and New York Communities for Change -- will cover quite a bit of ground if successful.

The itinerary calls for protesters to hop on the subway, emerging at 59th street near Central Park, where they will start their tour just after noon.

Doug Forand, a spokesman for the groups, said that the protesters do not have a permit for the march, but were not planning on obstructing traffic and would stick to the sidewalks.

Is it "Hate the Rich"
or
"Envy the Rich" :scratch

Is it "Hate the Rich"
or
"Envy the Rich" :scratchMany would probably be happy to just simply strip the wealthy of their money, even if they themselves didn't get any of it. :sad
