Rome now has a protest going on involving about 100,000 folks. Reminds me of those old films of the Bolshevik Revolution.

Protests inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement have become violent in Rome as 'black block' militants smash shop windows and set fire to two cars.
As the Occupy Wall Street protests spread around the world, in Rome police were out in force where 100,000 protesters were expected.
Two cars were set on fire and shops and banks had their windows broken during the protests in violent scenes that have been notably absent from other Occupy Wall Street protests, leading to claims that 'black block' militants have infiltrated the movement in Rome.

When Tea Partiers congregated, they left the area cleaner than before.
I just heard (maybe already posted) that one of the Flea Partiers defecated on a police car in Seattle.

Here in Georgia, the Occupy Atlanta group has been in Woodruff Park for about 2 weeks. The mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed, had given a deadline of 5 PM this Monday for the protesters to leave the park. As of yesterday, he has backed off that deadline, saying --
Reed never meant the deadline to be cast in stone and that he may or may not extend an executive order allowing the protesters to remain in Woodruff Park.
The leader of Occupy Atlanta had this to say:
With all due respect, we never asked for Mayor Reed's permission to occupy the park," Franzen said. "We had intended to illegally occupy the park in civil disobedience. ... We are going to stay in that park."
However, Mayor Reed has ALSO said:
“This has got to got to come to a close at some point,” Reed said. “At some point, we have to act.”
One resident had this to say:
"It's really annoying," Katelyn Caccavale, who lives across the street from Woodruff Park, told Channel 2. "Our walls are paper thin, so every night, we hear them screaming and yelling and banging their bongos."
I'm so glad I live in a rural area away from all this mess . . . :tsk All we have to contend with are leaf-lookers.

Hi, I've been lurking here for months now and like many of you, I feel like something big is about to happen. These recent protests spreading like wildfire around the world brings to mind the iron and clay in Daniel's dream. I believe that these generally represents two world systems which are authoritarian and democratic. They can also be interpreted as capitalism and socialism. They do not mix and they are both bound to fail in the long run due to the corrupt human nature. We're seeing now the growing discontent among the people around the world. This shows that any human system, however idealistic it may be, is faulty at best. The stone in Daniel's dream is God's Kingdom which will take over these global system and will be the ultimate answer to man's deepest needs.

It's happening in Vancouver ,Canada now. After the riots we had earlier this year I pray this will be peaceful.

It's started in Toronto. Hopefully, it will be a peaceful protest unlike what happened last June during the G8 summit. There was much damage during
those protests.
