So apparently I haven't been keeping up well with my local news. Figured the march we had in Tulsa a few weeks ago would be about it. I went to my local news site and found this:

Since I only haver iPhone u will prob have to copy n paste link but it says that more protesters were arrested last night in downtown Tulsa and city council wants to wave the fines and curfew so these ppl can protest around the clock. They are protesting in a private park and that was the tpd's reason for arresting them saying that if they had stayed on the sidewalk they wouldn't have been arrested.
It spreading like a wildfire and won't take IMO long before things really rage out of control

Anyone living near okc? Are they having protests there as well?

At his recent news conference, President Barack Obama praised Occupy Wall Street, saying, "It expresses the frustrations that the American people feel." Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi praised the protesters, saying, "God bless them for their spontaneity." Vice President Joe Biden claimed the protesters had "a lot in common with the tea party." And the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is circulating a petition seeking 100,000 signers to declare, "I stand with the Occupy Wall Street protests."

The political calculation behind all this is obvious: Democrats hope Occupy Wall Street will boost their party's chances in next year's election as the tea party did for the GOP in 2010. But Democratic leaders are wrong in believing that Occupy Wall Street is the liberal alternative to the tea party.

What the supporters are trying to promote as the best of young idealism is in fact the worst this country has to offer. The longer this goes on the more trouble they have keeping up the facade. It is turning violent and the immoral nature of the mob is showing it's ugliest side.

No surprise here, and the administration and the leftists mayors are getting a good reminder that rewarding bad behavior is a fool's errand.

Keep in mind this is "community organizing" at it's best/worst. Let me see, what was our intrepid leaders vocation prior to his coronation as POTUS............ :scratch

My mom emailed me last night that later this month my brother is going for Riot training. He's already been fitted for the gear. It's somewhat scary for me to think that they might send my brother somewhere to deal with riots, but the longer this goes on the more possible that is. I'm thankful though that he and his family know Jesus.

Deja vu the late 1960s, regarding the attitude of occupiers toward cops--only not as bad now, as then.

In 1969 while living in San Francisco, my best friend and I went to a Berkeley protest, just to witness it. We were temporarily staying in a house with communists (who had American friends and spouses working on communes in Cuba), but we weren't interested in their politics. All we wanted to do was sell our handmade macrame beaded necklaces to the other freaks in Berkeley. We watched the antiestablishment crowd hold hands, line the street and play Red Rover, taunting the cops ("pigs"). We left when things started getting heated.

I keep thinking if more young people today watched videos of those earlier times, something might click and they'd realize this has all been done before. That their ideals aren't new, their statements aren't original, and being dragged off to jail accomplishes nothing except to create a police record, which they will later want to get expunged.

The biggest difference between then and now is today they have the man in the Oval Office egging them on. The guy could have been in prison 2 years ago for BC and SSN fraud, but the GOP turned a blind eye for whatever reason, we are reaping the fruit of their cowardice. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when the Church and Restrainer is gone, hopefully we'll be outta here soon....

Officials with the revamped ACORN office in New York -- operating as New York Communities for Change -- have fired staff, shredded reams of documents and told workers to blame disgruntled ex-employees for leaking information in an effort to explain away a FoxNews.com report last week on the group’s involvement in Occupy Wall Street protests, according to sources.

NYCC also is installing surveillance cameras and recording devices at its Brooklyn offices, removing or packing away supplies bearing the name ACORN and handing out photos of Fox News staff with a stern warning not to talk to the media, the sources said.
