There has been an Occupy Lynchburg organized for tomorrow. I get to go spread the Word for a few hours there before work. My brother (who y'all met here a while back http://rr-bb.com/member.php?18775-iwwobbly) will be among the occupiers. Should be interesting and I must admit I really don't understand the point in their protests but it's all good.

I have known for a long time..and was even taught when I was young, that you are inextricably linked with the company that you keep.

And before anyone here tries the old, " Jesus hung out with tax collectors, prostitutes etc etc" Jesus went among them as Saviour and God. Of course He was linked to them--as they were sinners and He was the redeemer of their eternal souls, the Water of Life, The Living Word. He did not go among them with a common cause or like minded.

So, I got to thinking, and found this list ( probably incomplete) of the type of people who are inhabiting the OWS sites....please feel free to add anyone that the list might have missed......

I recently heard that condoms were being given out at these rallies. How this is going to help their cause is beyond me.

Not surprising. I had the opportunity to talk in a reasonable manner with a young girl--maybe 19 or 20-- who was big into the Anarchy movement. She was really into the usual mindless verbage and slogans, " the police are unfair", " down with the pigs"..etc etc..

I asked her what she thought her life would be like in a society without any laws or police to uphold and enforce them....after some ridiculous comments about freedom from oppresion, not jailing potheads and overcrowded prisons...I explained a few cold hard realities to her.....

I explained that without any laws or police that she would quickly become property or an asset. Pretty young women in a brutal, lawless society would be traded in barter...used as sexual toys until the Alpha male was tired or bored of them and then trade them or sell them for another female. She might be passed around to the leaders lieutenants as a reward for scoring a case of liquor. In the end she would not face the facts. In a lawless society the strongest and best armed would brutalize the weaker--including all women ( as it was throughout history, the Dark Ages, Viking raids, Norman invasion, Moorish invasion..and on and on and on..)

Maybe a few of these young women's eyes will be opened up as to what the results would be if they actually get the chaos and destruction of civil society that they are yearning for........ :tsk
