The top 1% have money, they want that money (entitlement).
Erin Larkins, a Columbia University graduate student at who says she and her boyfriend have significant student loan debt, was among the thousands of protesters on the bridge. She said a friend persuaded her to join the march and she's glad she did. I don't think we're asking for much, just to wake up every morning not worrying whether we can pay the rent, or whether our next meal will be rice and beans again,"
She is going to make at least a hundred grand if she gets a job so she is going to be part of the rich anyway.:scratch

Even though there is no single voice or reason for the protests, at least stated that I am aware of, I think some of it is protesting against the entitlement mindset on Wall Street, who many of themselves are looking for the Fed and Bernanke to inject billions of tax payer $$$ into the markets so they can play monopoly on the payouts.

Why don't they protest the Capital for wasting all our tax dollars with special interest spending, $16 donuts, strangulation regulations on free market enterprise, and Owebama's expertise venture deals?

On Fox News this morning, the anchors said that many of the protestors had no idea why they were protesting. Just another example of group-think - as so well illustrated in Ann Coulter's book on liberal mobs. :tsk

$16 donuts? Serious?! :lol2 That's some of the funniest yet best news, given the surging obesity levels in our western countries.

Let's look at some of the signs that these protesters are wielding; the signs say a lot about who they are.
"This is my occupation" Yeah, because people with actual jobs have to do work from 9 to 5 instead of throwing a hissy fit on the Brooklyn bridge (which made some people late for work).
"Live simply so others may simply live" What does that even mean? Wealth is not a zero-sum game.
"The system is racist (other stuff I couldn't see)" :doh
"End the war; end the rich" Speaks for itself. :doh
"This greed will not destroy our dreams. Solidarity from WI." If "Solidarity from Wisconsin" didn't scream "socialism" then certainly the first part of the sign should. What these protesters don't realize is that it is they who are being greedy, not the rich. The only reason why they even have a bridge on which to protest, clothes to wear, iPhones to spread their hate and lies, and cardboard to make their signs is because of the rich.
I wasn't alive during the '60s but my goodness this must be what it was like with hippies because that's exactly of whom they remind me. They're nothing but spoiled brats who want to laze around and do nothing while getting everything handed to them on a silver platter by the people who do work.

This sounds like it's straight out of Alinsky's tactical book of tricks.

I was alive during the hippie era, and I just said to my husband the same thing that you said.
