SEPA Vision
The Single Euro Payments Area or SEPA will be the area where citizens, companies and other economic actors will be able to make and receive payments in euro, within Europe, whether between or within national boundaries under the same basic conditions, rights and obligations, regardless of their location.
Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) becomes a reality, i.e. when individuals and corporations are able to make cashless payments throughout the euro area from a single payment account anywhere in the euro area using a single set of payment instruments as easily, efficiently and safely as they can make them today at the national level.
Public authorities and central banks, should be organised in January 2008 to mark the official start of SEPA and to capture the broad attention of the general public.
To achieve the target of a critical mass of SEPA transactions by the end of 2010, the support of the heaviest users of payments services, e.g. public administrations, is vital.
All Christians should pray about this. The bible tells us that the ones coming out of the great tribulations will have to face a tough decision.
