Disease?? No. Addiction?? Yes. Much like smoking, their bodies crave it because it is sin and they are slaves to it.

I'll pray for these therapists, they're definitely in hostile territory. I used to live near San Francisco, but have never seen so many gay men as when I spent 2 months in a suburb of Dallas last year. Maybe it was just an anomaly that I noticed so many gays, but I think the Dallas area is under siege with this mental illness.

:thumb Only Jesus has the cure for what ails all of us. It's called sin, and can only be cured by a full heart/soul transplant, something the medical establishment is not capable of.

I am not a gay basher nor hater. I think we are all sinners in need of a Savior. But, having been in an academic college setting for the last six years I can honestly say that I have never before seen so many young men who are gay. It has gotten to the point where I hear young women say there is no one on campus to date because they are all gay. I sometimes think that it is becoming a fad with the teenager and twenties crowd. They think it is cool so they pretend to be it until they really become what they pretend.

There are some other possabilities...I hesitate to brng them up because there isn't much out there to validate any "anti-gay" research...

One promising possability is that children are becoming sexually aware too young, by the time they are "of age" they have experienced too much, and want new...
There's also the theory of too many phytoestrogens being given the very young...
Another is genetics...
yet another is social pressure...

No one really knows why. I think that it's just that we're nearing the end times.

You're right. I agree that there are probably many environmental reasons as well as family issues (dad's missing from the home), etc. However, the truth of the matter is that everybody has tendencies toward something. We're all born with sin handicaps so to speak. Whether we tend to eat too much, drink alcohol too much, gamble, spend money, have a mean attitude, impatience. But we as Christians know that these are evil tendencies and we work against them to be obedient to God, because we love Him. If we are repentent, even if we can't immediately stop the sin, God is faithful to "treat" us for our ailment and deliver us no matter how stubborn a sin it is or how long it takes. For some reason, homosexuality seems to be one of those sins that people WANT to give into and justify. Like you said, a fad or something. Sexual sin is always difficult, but possible to turn from. They won't admit it's a sin, but they'll admit other things are sin. I don't get it. Some of us are born with tendencies and family histories and even physical genes that push us toward obesity, alcoholism, etc. Why can't they acknowledge it as sin and ask for help?
