If I still have my house, I'll be especially glad for the wood stove.
(working in this hot summer splitting wood will pay off after all I guess.)

If? Are you having problems?

If? Are you having problems? Have been. Had a career in electonics for over 20 years. Company is gone. I've been out of permanent work since Aug.2002. If you look in the "Wages In The Automotive Industry" thread; posts #15 & 16, you'll see what I said yesterday about my situation. It's probably more than what anyone cared to read, but I started to say one thing and all that just sort of came out. What those posts do not say however is what I got in the mail today. I basically have 19 days to come up with a lot of money or my house goes bye-bye. Not having a permanent job, it will be hard to rent. My wife of 36 years and our two children still at home and myself could actually find ourselves homeless ... sort of. I know that my older kids that are married would not let us be on the street, but it would be a drastic change in life with having to find somewhere to put "stuff" and all the logistics of the whole thing. Even though, should that happen, it would be a very sad thing for us (we've been here 22 years), we know that our Lord is good. Should He call us to go through all that, we know He'll be right there with us. We have no car loans or credit cards or any loans ... just the house mortgage and the usual stuff like insurance, food, gas, etc. like everyone has.
Don't know if I mentioned it anywhere, but when I lost my job 5+ years ago, I started a video business. I had been doing that on the side since '94 anyway. So when I was laid-off, I decided to try and do it full time in parallel with looking for a full time job. I was going to do whichever came first. So far, neither has come. I have been doing some part time jobs and video production is part time ... lately, waaaay part time. People like my work and even recommend me, but I can't get a price that is decent enough to get by on. Our family vehicle is a '92 chevy astro with 221,000 mi. and my run around car is a '92 Honda Civic with 235,000 mi. Even if we had money, we wouldn't buy another vehicle because we drive them until they are dead dead. I hate cars but have to have one. I do all my own repairs except auto transmissions. Some sweat or frozen fingers, depending on the time of year, and mosquitoes and scraped knuckles later and a lot of money has been saved.

So ya ..... if you all think of it when you're praying, mention me to our Lord to send some work my way. I rise early, like to work, work diligently and get along well with folks ... I just need the work. I'm in NW Ohio and it's hard to come by around these parts.

Habakkuk 3:
17 *Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 *Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 *The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Will be praying for you Issachar. I'm so sorry you are going through this after being so responsible. A lot of us appear to be in the ship named Hard Times and the waves seem to be getting higher and higher. However-we follow a Savior who can calm storms with one word, so we'll just keep praying for each other.:hug
