I knew this day was coming...as we drove to hand out Gospels of John tonight, we drove by a car with someone who had been killed in a drive by shooting. The coroner hadn't arrived yet, no yellow tape yet.

Three Milwaukee squads were there, the officers stood around talking; you knew there wasn't anything they could do. The body, sat upright in the backseat covered in a blanket. We drove by to go to our designated spot. We knew we couldn't stay so we prayed as we drove back home, passing the same intersection again.

I thought of their parents.

What a sick feeling of hopelessness. This soul has gone into eternity. We don't know if they were saved or not.

We will continue to hand out Gospels of John.
Time is short.
Every moment someone else goes into eternity.

We live in such a sad world, I can not wait for Jesus to come and get us.

I'm a Police Officer. I think the exact same thing whenever I am confronted with scenes of death out on the street.
