This is just sad, IMO. People are looking for jobs, begging for jobs, and these individuals with good-paying jobs want more. You (whoever "you" is) can flame me all you want, but I come from the side that needs a job - I have put myself through school twice (up to masters degree) and cannot find a job in this state, yet those with good jobs are striking.

The UAW members have package deals that most of us could only dream about.

I've never met a person yet who felt that they were adequately paid. The Apostle Paul admonished us to be content in all circumstances. Now that is a challenge that is worth divine intervention.

Instead I guess that we just choose to believe the commercials. Never satisfied. But if we make Jesus our satisfaction, He will make up the difference on all the rest of life. Be of good cheer, He has overcome the world (system).

The Union is bankrupting companies whenever they get the chance. The employees give less performance and want more. If I CEO of Chrysler I'd fire them all, and start over. They need to stop making cars for a while anyway with sales as poor as they have been. Make a better product with hands that want to work for a reasonable rate.

Guess what - they're doing it regardless, bit by bit.

yep, because of the trouble the union gives them. Just look at Flint. those guys wanted to be paid for 8 hours but only work 6. Gave GM all sorts of trouble, so as soon as they could GM took the factories elsewhere.
Just be careful what you ask/push for. You push too hard, you're going to push them all away.

They can "want" all they want. But the reality is this state is in trouble. I can't believe the number of for sale signs and foreclosures going on right now. EVERYONE is doing with less and these people, along with the people working in our government need to do with less as well. I have to pay for my own health insurance and I don't get cushy benefits. This is the time for everyone to cut back.
