If Israel attacks Iran and it starts an Middle East uprising like never before would this be a ideal time to come up with a seven year peace treaty? Something would have to be done to stabilize the area.

More than likely so, after Israel has supernaturally annihilated her enemies. IMO, I do not expect Israel to launch any type of military solution. More than likely, someone else will launch one against Israel by surprise, and God Almighty will protect her. This will, imo, bring about a peace treaty signing, and will probably happen very quickly.

I had that same thought about Syria and Damascus last week.

I've kind of wondered that about Damascus since the uprising began. I also wonder if we here in the West will be awake to witness the destruction of Damascus, since the Bible talks about the city being gone within the span of one night. It couldn't be a "night" here in the U.S., because the Bible was written in the area of the Middle East, so a "night" there would be daytime here. I also wonder if the extent of the destruction won't totally be realized until the morning sun reveals it the next day. A further question is, what constitutes total destruction? Does that mean that every building will be reduced to rubble and dirt? Will all that's left be the footprints of the buildings? Will it be pretty much a desert wasteland with no trace of a city ever having been there, all buildings and people obliterated?

Sometimes I over-think things . . . :hehee

I think about it a lot too!! As a matter of fact the last couple of weeks I get up every morning and check the news immediately for any new developements there. Damascus is the "tipping point" for the truth of scripture for my un-saved husband. If Damascus falls in a night, he has agreed to read the Bible with me and I have many passages marked and ready! Needless to say, I am praying to still be here for Damascus' demise.... My husband is closer than ever to accepting Christ. :pray

Hal Lindsey last Friday did the scenario of Israel using an EMP on Iran because he said if Israel bombed Iran's hidden mountain nuclear sites and/or nuclear facilities, then Iran would fire back, so to avoid this happening he thought Israel would be the first one to strike Iran with an EMP. The U.S. military better be alert and get rid of Iran's ship off our coast which could already have an EMP to use against the U.S.

Memorandum to: All Iranian Nuclear Facilities

From: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Subject: My Abject Apologies

It seems my brother-in-law left some of his steam cleaners in your facilities. Each has a GPS system for tracking. Please turn any large piece of unidentified equipment you locate to "ON".

Don't worry about any electrical interference. In fact, once you flip the switch, you won't have to worry about anything ever again.

More Abject Apologies.

Please do not bother yourselves with my brother-in-law's equipment. We have another way of turning them on.

I'm curious about something - does anyone here think that there would be some warning of an imminent Israeli military strike on Iran, or are we likely to wake up one morning and hear on the news that it's started? :hmmm

I don't think they will announce it. They like the element of "surprise"!!

All I know is that i just read yet another article stating that' Iran is less that a year away from gaining a Nuclear
weapon.
The first time I read such an article was about 4 years ago.
It to stated that iran would have nukes in less than a year.

I remember i replied to that post and asked why is everyone missing the fact that they dont even need to
build their own Nuke,If their Russian buddies give them one.

The Russians could give them a Nuke ,A launcher , and some energizer batteries for the remote control.
I mean give me a break...

..Here is a future news headline from the year 2019...
(jan 20 2019....IRAN COULD BE LESS THAN A YEAR FROM GAINING NUCLEAR WEAPONS)

Somebody smack me.:doh

What about an EMP??
