They have and will again. Why do you think they were scattered to the four corners of the earth? Israel failed to repent and turn away from its sin. In the last days Israel will be invaded and saved by God in the battle of gog and magog. God never fails the failure.

Interesting... :thinking

The above was in response to a post "America will fail, ISRAEL WILL NEVER FAIL!!"

Please elaborate.

In the last days Israel will become a nation again and God will use them as a stumbling stone to the nations thus fulfilling His promises to Abraham and using Israel to display His glory and power. They way a person views and treats Israel determines the condition of their spirituality. Ron Paul needs to get on the right track with God.

Clay man Ron Paul is definitely not on the right track with God right now. :pray

Failure is not an end, but an experience. As sinners we fail, but thanks to Jesus we are saved by faith and live eternally. Israel has failed many times. Before the Israelites took Canaan they failed to trust God's promise to inherit the land. They spent 40 years in the wilderness. Fast forward and Israel is handed over to Babylon. Between those two events Israel was up and down. Before human kingship was established God called out Judges to turn the Israelites back to God because they adopted Canaanite, Moabite and Samaritan religions, idols, etc. Israel has a history of success and failure. Another example would be the Israelites being defeated in battle because they thought the Ark of the Covenant would lead them to victory. Their trust in an item instead of God lead to failure.

The United States will end. Israel is forever lasting through its covenant with God. Both fail and will continue to fail when it turns from God. Failure is what lead many of us to turn to Christ and accept Him as Lord and Savior. Failure will lead Israel back to God.

I'm writing through a phone so please have mercy. Hahaha. I can include supportive scripture if you would like. FYI, I'm a student at Liberty University majoring in Religious (Biblical) studies. I picked the school because of its conservative atmosphere and literal interpretation of God's Word. I like to debate and discuss things such as politics because I learn that way.

Ron Paul is up and down. Some things are likeable and others crazy. I hope he does know Jesus as his personal savior. Maybe he has spent too much time diving into politics and not enough time in his bible.

I agree.

Some of his ideas would be good in moderation, but then again some of his ideas are just plain crazy. We don't need Ron Paul in office. He's spent 11 terms in office and in all that time only one of his items has become a law. All that money spent on his salary for one law. What a waste of taxpayers money. A Ron Paul administration would be a joke. He's nothing but a waste of time. He's the Mr. Magoo of U.S. politics.

Ron Paul is a libertarian which has some conservative beliefs such as small govt. and free enterprise, if you enjoy the programs by John Stossel http://www.foxbusiness.com/on-air/stossel/index.html you will agree with plenty of their ideals, except for the fact they are isolationists, idealists, and do not believe Islam is a real threat to society.

I like ideas of limited government, but I feel isolationism is dangerous. There needs to be a balance with foreign policy.

I also believe Islam is an extreme problem along with humanism.

In that vein, the Church has also *failed*. See the letters to the seven churches. It's only God's grace by which any of us stand, wife of God (Israel) or Bride of Christ.

Through it all, Israel has managed to give the rest of the world the knowledge of the One True God - the Holy One of Israel, the Bible (both as writers and guardians of it) and the bloodline through which we were given our Messiah, the Jew Who died for us all. Not too shabby, imo.
