It's good to know that atheists are coming here, reading these posts and even reposting them in order to mock them. I can't help but think that somewhere out there in atheist ethernet land, some of them have come, or will come, to realize Jesus is The Real Deal and have, or will, give their lives to Him.
I too have been told He is a crutch. A CRUTCH??? HE IS THE VERY REASON FOR MY EXISTENCE!! He's not something I fall back on or lean on, He's so much more than that. He carries my feeble body through this life, and fills me with the knowledge that one day, my strength, youth and vigor will be renewed! He makes sure I am never alone, for He is always with me and He will never leave me nor forsake me. He loves me so much that He bore my punishment, and died for my sake.
Psalm 103:
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
No, not a crutch like alcohol, nicotine, pornography and drugs, but the LORD High God, Creator, Savior, Bridegroom and the God Who loves us, teaches us, guides us and Who will return to rule this world in His righteousness, with justice, Who will wipe away all our tears and fill us with His joy.
Atheists, what have you to compare with this?

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him I will trust. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Paslm 91)
Atheists are such wet blankets.

Salvation is the most wonderful security blanket... purchased for us as a gift by Jesus Christ.

Their choice is either a security blanket or a fiery abyss.

What are they gonna do after the rapture? There will not be any new, funny posts to use for their enjoyment. They may be searching the site for information rather than things to mock at that point.
Thats ok though-let them mock. The more they mock, the more we are blessed. At least our posts they laugh at may actually plant some seeds and after the rapture, those seeds could lead to them getting saved. One thing is for sure....they will know where to look when all the people they used to laugh at suddenly disappears.

My oh my, how can it be, God that you could create everything we see!!!
People scoff and people mock, but when they die ohh what a shock!!!
I pray, oh my King that this would not be, that you would open their eyes and they finally see
And say, as we say, "my oh my how can it be"!!!

I have heard "Jesus is just a crutch" before.
Yep, they got that right. When I don't use my Lord as a crutch, my walk with Him is very wobbly and I have even fallen down.
True. I also heard the same thing.
What I would suggest:
We can't walk this journey of life alone. You can try, but will never be truly fulfilled & have all that life has to offer because all good things come from God. Don't get me wrong, a life walked alone may even feel and look good for a while, however, pride comes before the fall. When that unbeliever falls, I will gladly share my "security blanket" with them.
ETA:
Philippians 4:13 does not say "I can do all things...period"
What it does say is "I can do all things through CHRIST who gives me strength"
So....enjoy the crutch, security blankets, etc. etc. etc. I am :-)

At least we have the comfort of knowing our sins are washed away, and by accepting the gift of salvation Jesus wraps us in his loving forgiveness with the assurance of eternal life in a wonderful place. I will take that any day over the other option of where eternity will be spent. My security blanket Jesus is better than the lake of fire. Call me addicted in Jesus, but at least whom the son sets free is free indeed!:hug :hat
