an answer to prayer for Judy and a cat S'mores returned!

Thank you Jesus! Thank you all for praying for Judy! The new report is that she is free of cancer! Yes Jesus is so sweet and awesome! God bless you all for praying for Judy! Thank you so much. I also have a story I would like to share with you:

First I want to say that yes I am still being delivered, I am as Terry James put it in one of his letters, crawling to the fininsh line:) But Jesus is still helping me and this is why : Love is the fullfilling of the law, and Faith , love , hope and charity , but the greatest of these is love. I might not have that perfect but have patientce.

Here is the reason I know that God is not done with me. About a year and a half ago or so.... we moved to Ottumwa Iowa. We had to leave our pets because we did'nt have fences. We were going back and forth about an hour away to feed them and visit with them . It was really sad not to have them, and the kids were'nt ajusting well to their new school. Well I had taken one cat with me up to the new house, her name is S'mores. We were moving back and had a van load full of household goods and the cat S'mores. On the way back to our old house that morning we made several stops (2 of which were out in the country) the total milage was about a 70 mile radius. Well when we returned home the cat was not in the car. I was so sad and worried for her that I went to all the places we stoped and put up a flier to get her back. I did'nt really think that anyone would call because it would be long distance. When we would return to Ottumwa I would say to the kids " Quick kids lets agree in prayer that God will just put her in our path. Then one day a lady at a convience store in Ottumwa just happened to be on brake and saw me and said " I've seen your cat , she came and peeked in the window. Is she dainty?" I said " yes!" she said " look in the neiborhood behind the store" So I went back to the nieborhood and saw a calico , there was a man there and he pointed to her , when I went up and said Smore! she ran away. Well this man who I will referr to as Mr. Smith for his privacy , said he would try and capture her for me. He was really sweet and there was another man who I spoke with who told me he puts scraps out and she would have something to eat. Well It took Mr. Smith about 9 mo. or so to capture this cat , he worked tierlessly to get her to go inot the carrier. One day he phoned and said he had her. I went and picked this cat up , on the way back my kids said " Mom , you know that's not our cat." I said " I know but Mr. Smith worked so hard to capture her I just could tell him." So I brought this wild cat and put her in my room. That same night I had to go to Walmart to pick up school suppies for my daughter . When I returned the wild cat had found a way out through a hole in the floor, my other cats come and go that way. So I thought thats ok , I leave scraps out and she can sleep in the garage. Well time went on and I had all a but given up hope that S'mores was still alive. Then this winter it began to get cold , it can get very cold here in Iowa. Well I started to worry about S'mores again but felt that I did'nt even know if she was alive. I said one last pittifull prayer , it was really more of a whine. I said " pleeeeaase God , at least guide her to a kind person who will at least feed her... my heart pleaded. I was pittifull. Here's where you just never know when God is going to move on your behalf. Two days after I said the prayer we went to the super walmart in Ottumwa Iowa , well this same man(Mr. Smith) used to work for the super walmart as a door
greater. I saw Mr. Smith walking up the aisle and said " well hello there!" Mr. Smith pointed at me and said " I've got your cat!" he said " does she have a white tip on her tail?" I said "Yes!" and sure enough it was her. It dawned on me talking to Mr. Smith there in the aisle about the prayer and it's answer and I remember thinking he's not going to believe this . God is so sweet to return a little fur ball with a white tip on her tail. Make your needs know to Him for He care for you . It's true , Jesus answered me a sinner but a trying to get better sinners prayers. Take care and have a great day. Jesus loves you and so do I .

:lol :aha That is the funniest and coolest prayer / praise report I've ever heard of even better than when God healed my cell phone charger (He really is Almighty) I was laughing so hard, that you didnt have the heart to tell mr smith that it wasnt the right cat .... bless your heart and then he found the right one! I just wanted to say that when I prayed I asked for 'smores to be returned I asked it in Jesus' name , and God is no respector of persons what He did for me he will do for you too.

I thought that Jesus wanted this story with S'mores so as to encourage believers. As long as it glorifies Him and encourages people to keep going, never give up , never surrender. Praise you Jesus Praise you and thank you.

P.s. I just want to clerify that Mr. Smith is retired he took a job at the superwalmart in Ottuwa , then his wife needed him at home because she is home bound. Thats why Mr. Smith had time to look for smores in the begging he was'nt working then took a job and had to quit to look after his wife.
I also wanted to say that I have found that you all are good people. I want to tell others where they can come for fellowship and just to be with and talk to God's people. when I saw some of the advise that was given to people I remember thinking ( you can tell these people walk closely with God) not to priase man but to let you all know that you are the light of the world and that wittness will bring many people over to Christ when life gets them down they will remember God's people.

I also wanted to say that to verify this story if you would like, I think that the manager at the superwalmart would verify (I dont think he will give out Mr. Smiths name) but you can ask if there was a man who had to quit because his wife was home bound , Mr. Smith started there as a door greater and then was moved to the bakery). The convience store was a caseys store in Ottuwa Iowa I think the lady was the day manager she was older and the store was located off of caldwell rd. If she is still there she will remember the calico cat named s'mores.

I just wanted to thank you all for your replies to the thread. You guys are sweet people. I thank the Lord Jesus for your kindness and fellowship. When this happened with S'mores , I thought to myself "I know that Jesus would want people to know about this for encouragment." Sometimes if I'm worried or down God will send S'mores to walk in front of me as a reminder, I say " there's miracle cat. " you all have a great day. I'm headed up to Ottumwa to look for work today. I thank Jesus for you all.
