We're staying home tonight also. Just made a pot with everything in it from the refridgerator....chicken, beef, potatoes, celery, garlic, onions, tomatoes, butter beans, parsley, cream and chicken broth. Yummmmm. It's cold and drippy/foggy today. Brrrrr..

Chinese food tonight if the takeout place is staying open late enough (another hour will be fine)
i have sparkling cider and sparkling pear juice if we decide to stay up till midnight
and i'm going to try to do a nice slow-cook prime rib for tomorrow. to go with it i'm planning on a caramelized onion and baby 'bello mushroom sauce, a blended rice mix (wild, long grain brown, sweet brown, whole grain Wehani, and whole grain Black Japonica rices... its labeled "Lundberg Wild Blend" and it looked interesting!) and honeyed carrots. another chocolate pudding pie was requested, so that will be dessert :D

I'm inviting myself right over. We have the soup. My husband wants to try that Carmelized Onion Crostini recipe on another thread. Sounds good to me!
Have a wonderful New Year, Icebear!:bighug

We're still going out for Prime Rib, but my daughter and her husband and family are getting together with another family. Theyll have dinner together and are playing cards. Some others were coming, but had to cancel due to illness. So, now they want us to come because we play cards. I guess we can stop by after we eat, but our reservations are for 7:30 and it'll take around a half hour to drive back. I guess I'll have to wait and see what my husband wants to do.
