No, I really am not a dessert person. My weakness is cheese. I love the stuff! We are going to have some kind of stirfry that I am going to sort of whip together. I've got lots of veggies leftover from my vegetable tray that I need to use up. I think I will make something with sliced Kielbasa, sliced peppers and onions served over rice.

Julie,

I can suffer through low fat and non fat cheese but I need my sweets. I hate fat fee cream cheese and fat free sour cream. I would rather eat the real thing and less. Although, diabetes runs in my family, it only affects us if we are over weight. That is one of the reasons I went on my diet 2 years ago.
I keep weight watchers desserts and weight watchers ice cream on hand.

I am diabetic (Just diagnosed about a yr ago). That's why I'm trying to lose weight. I can't stand the fat free sour cream and cheese either. I don't eat it. Now, once in a while, I do like dessert. Kroger grocery store has sugar free ice cream in the store brand that is very good. On special occasions, I make desserts, and then I use Splenda instead of sugar. It pretty much tastes the same. I've never really been a sweets person. By the way, that kielbasa stirfry was good. I threw together a couple of sliced green peppers and a couple of chunked onions with a pound of sliced kielbasa and stirfryed it in a little bit of olive oil. I added a package of powdered onion soup mix, some garlic, and a couple of tbsp of soy sauce, and then served it over a bed of rice. It was a great way to get rid of my extra veggies and very tasty.

We use alot of splenda, too. I should say the fake splenda. Wal-mart's version of splenda is 2 dollars less. I use it in tea and coffee and we drink alot of off brand crystal lite.
I eat alot of stir fried veggies but I usually use pam butter flavored spray.

Son asked us to stay another day. We just realized that we have not taken anything out for dinner. Luckily he has some hamburger patties, so I took some out to cook on the grill.
We move in with him next month. I am so looking forward to it. He is renting a house on a creek. Just this morning, in a tree next to the porch was a mommy raccoon and three little babies. Of course the actual moving part is not going to be so fun:aha
