i don't know what they are having, but since i'm making kielbasa and sauerkraut, they might not need to be fed anyway, since they claim that my dinner makes them lose their appetite.
in my opinion, this could be a win-win situation :aha

homemade ground turkey italian spagetti sauce, but we're having it on top of french cut green beans instead of pasta, then iceberg salad with homemade balsamic dressing... yum and it's sticking to my diet!

Could you share the recipe for that. I love that stuff.
Oriental Hot and Sour Soup
5 cups chicken broth
1 (8 oz) can bamboo shoots, drained and sliced into thin strips
1 (8oz) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 (6 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup quick-cooking tapioca
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 (8 oz) pkg frozen, peeled, and deveined shrimp
4 oz tofu (fresh bean curd), cubed
2 beaten eggs
1 tbsp instant beef bouillion granules
3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
2 tsp Oriental dark-roasted sesame oil
2 green onions, thinly sliced diagonally
Combine all ingredients except shrimp, tofu, eggs, and green onions. Put in crockpot and cook on low 8 hrs or on high for 3-4 hrs. Add shrimp and tofu. Cook on low or high for an additional 50 minutes more. Pour egg slowly in crockpot; stir until egg cooks and shreds. Top with green onions.
Makes about 9 appetizer servings.
(Hints: I could not find any tofu at the grocery store, so I left it out and it was still very good. Also, you can use shredded cooked chicken or pork in place of the shrimp. Or you can just leave the meat out entirely, and it is still good!)
