My son cooked up some pulled pork last week and froze some. He gave me the last of the frozen stuff yesterday, so that's what we're having for supper tonight with a little pasta, freah fruit and salad greens.

We're having homemade beefaroni tonite. Would have a salad too but the thunderstorms won't let up so I'm not going to be standing at the sink with the water running.

Thanks Caligal, I come here as always to whet my appetite. Cooking for one is just not as enjoyable most nights so I often make do, have some fruit salsa my daughter brought for me and that will suffice when I am hungrey later. Your beefaroni is one of my favorite things to eat however and I not only got inspiration for tomorrow, but your comment about thunderstorms has filled my belly with laughter....thought I was the only "crazy" (my girls assessment when they were young) woman to STAY AWAY FROM THE WATER during storms. Now that they are grown, I chuckle under my breath, as they share their wisdom with their own family. Tonight I thank you for sharing your meal with me.

... just finished up this morning's double helping of grits. Tonight my wife and I are going on a fund-raising river cruise for the local rescue mission. The cruise includes food which is sometimes quite good and at other times has been rather poor in the taste department... we'll see. I'll probably fix the kids turkey with rice.
