Sauteed vegetables and brown rice, with some freshly-ground pepper mixed in. My kids are at their dad's house - they probably had something along the lines of hamburgers, mashed potatoes, and egg noodles. Did you notice the starch and no regular veggies?? (No, I am not a vegetarian.)

Fried cube steak (I was going to make mushroom gravy but it didn't turn out this time)
Mashed taters
Corn on the cob
Green beans

A regular southern meal...but, not biscuits. I try to keep from so much bread.

Theresa...we've been trying to eat healthier. I have made brown rice in the past but hubby just ain't too crazy about it. So, I at least stick with organic white rice.

My youngest daughter loves food (my older daughter has so many food allergies, poor thing). Anyway, when I started eating a lot of brown rice and veggies about a month or two ago, she discovered she loves it! So now I try to make that at least a few times a week so she can share with me. Eating the brown rice/veggies and cutting out most of the wheat and all dairy has made a HUGE positive difference in how my gut has been acting for the last several years!!

Had to take my DH's son to work tonight so on the way home I stopped at McDonald's and got the kids some McNuggets and fries.. I got one of those new cinnamon melt thingies. Oh, man, was that ever GOOD!

I've been wanting to cut out milk and wheat for years...just haven't. I particularly noticed a gas problem last night after a Sonic milkshake. Man, I know milk can't be good for me after that! :idunno

A friend of mine has cut out wheat and is having almost no abd pain. I think Celiac disease might be a lot more common than we think and have varying degrees of affliction.
