We're having fresh caught crappies.
The 'a' is pronounced like the 'o' in the word 'crops'. (This is for Hootman's benefit). Yes, yes I know some people pronounce that word with the 'a' sounding like the 'a' in the word 'apples'.:lol2

I remember the dinner with the neighbor family. Do you add vegetables with the meat? Just wanted to make sure you weren't wasting a nice new prime rib on a soup.:lol2
Yes, I include carrots, celery and onion in large amounts and in miniscule pieces in the broth I make. After I get the broth about right I add the meat... then later lots of cubed potatoes (the best part on account of the potatoes absorb the flavors from the broth).
No, I've never been so carefree as to take a fresh prime rib and chop it up to make soup. :lol2

Whsshh, that takes a load off my mind :lol2. The vegetables sound wonderful in that soup. It almost sounds like a stew. I'm gaining weight just thinking about it.
