Going to the grocery today. I think we will have turkey burgers and macaroni/cheese.

No, The only big game I ever got myself was a caribou. I'd love to bag a moose or another caribou, but I guess I don't really need to. I almost always have some moose meat in the freezer that kind folks have given to me... sometimes after I've declined payment for services performed.
I'm reluctant to go moose hunting because the rack has to be a certain size and I figure I'd get it wrong. When I shot the caribou it was an either sex shot so I didn't have to worry about mucking it up.

Tonight made a toasted bacon and tomato sangy. Didn't have any lettuce so it wasn't a BLT. :lol2
That is one of my favorite sandwiches and I make it without the lettuce sometimes too.
Sometimes we also have bacon and avocado sandwiches.

That sounds really great, how much different does moose taste from beef.
We used to eat venison and elk sometimes and there used to be a store that I could buy
buffalo. I really love the taste of buffalo and wish there were more buffalo ranches around.

Why would you shoot dessert snacks? :scratch
The really funny part is that there were any left over. My 3 teens have hollow legs! You would never know by looking at them that they EAT all the time. :twitch

The biggest difference is that the moose is extremely lean. The way I'm cooking this meat nobody will know we're eating moose unless I tell them.

The most wonderful thing about wild meat is that there are no steroids in them, antibiotics or addatives or preservatives in their foods like man gives his domesticated animals. Lean also makes for less cholesterol too. I love it when someone in my family shoots an animal and I get one or two pieces given to me. :yeah God knew what he was doing, man just mucks things up. :lol2

I made a roast a few days ago and there's still some left, so I think I'll make sandwiches with it. I have some Milano rolls and some peppeorncini. I'm planning on keeping it simpl so I think I'll add a kidney bean salad, fresh fruit (red grapes, kiwi and strawberries) and a spinach salad as well.
