I'm considering having King Crab for dinner tonight. Due to the high price I've never even tasted King Crab. Safeway has a sale on it and also a coupon for an additional 20% off if my total bill is over $100... so thought I'd get a few things at Safeway today and get a first taste of King Crab.
Some time later... I bought some red king crab. Just 4 legs equals 2 3/4 pounds. I hope the kids like it... then again... maybe I should hope that they don't... ;)

Found a nice shady spot in a park by the lake today to read my book, and on the way home Mello decided it was time for a double big mac again. :heh:lol2

great! hubby was thinking about chicken fried steak the other night. either of us have not had that in ages and i have never tried making it, i thought i'd have to look up a recipe, but here it is! Thanks :)
of course it would really rock if i could get instructions for that peppery gravy too http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/icebear713/smilies/ththhanghead.gif
or, mail me a gallon of it....?
:heh
Oh the peppered gravy is tricky. You save about two or three table spoons of the grease in the pan then add about 2 cups of flour and then pepper and brown the flour then add milk I never mesure that part I just eye ball it depending on how thick I want it, but I guess it is like 3 or 4 cups. It makes alot but I am a family of six and need it, but you could use the left overs for bisketts and gravy the next moring or you can make my husband's breakfest...he'll kill me for sharing but you take a bisket or two and cut them in half and then top that with fried eggs over easy and then a layer of cooked ham then top that off with gravy. Sometimes we eat it for dinner cause it is just too heavy and makes you sleepy afterwards...lol...

Shepherd's Pie...Brit style. We grew to love it while living in England for 3 yrs. Comfort food for sure and then a bit of Blue Bell ice cream later. :heh
