Oh the peppered gravy is tricky. You save about two or three table spoons of the grease in the pan then add about 2 cups of flour and then pepper and brown the flour then add milk I never mesure that part I just eye ball it depending on how thick I want it, but I guess it is like 3 or 4 cups. It makes alot but I am a family of six and need it, but you could use the left overs for bisketts and gravy the next moring or you can make my husband's breakfest...he'll kill me for sharing but you take a bisket or two and cut them in half and then top that with fried eggs over easy and then a layer of cooked ham then top that off with gravy. Sometimes we eat it for dinner cause it is just too heavy and makes you sleepy afterwards...lol...
oh, sounds lovely! i'm sure my family will love either option. how brown do i want the flour to get? just barely tan, paper bag tan or darker?
thanks!
--- i'm going to turn into a tilapia if i keep eating it like this. :lol2 i just keep frying them up in butter and olive oil, simple seasoning and side veggies vary.
hubby had some Perdue buffalo chicken strips with HV Ranch dressing. they were breaded type so i didn't have any.
Oldest kiddo is at my parents', the youngest had some fish and fruit and tomatoes for a plate, she samples and grazes off everyone's plates too.

I haven't checked to see if I have any in the freezer yet, but if I do, we'll have tacquitos and refritos.
