We invited a family of eight over and had prime rib for adults and the kids that wanted it, and hot dogs or hamburgers for the young'ns. Homemade apple pie w/ vanilla ice cream for dessert. They just left. I'm going to bed to sleep off my full belly.
P.S. I prepare the best prime rib in these parts.

BLT from Subway. I got up to go to the kitchen and when I came back to the table I saw that my dog grabbed half my sandwich. Oh well, he saved me the calories. :rolleyes

i did one last year-- for Christmas i think, well a few days before- our small family meal a few days before our extended family meal. well seared, into a screaming hot oven for a bit then a slow cook on a low oven for the remainder.... it did come out quite well for my first try. i'll have to give itt anotther go sometime soon.
tonight we had my hubby's yummy spaghetti sauce with assorted ravioli. i'm still stuffed
