Does anyone have a recipe for cucumber salad? I've never made it so I don't know what goes in it except cucumbers :aha Thanks

Here is a great recipe :wave
INGREDIENTS
cucumbers, thinly sliced
1 small white onion, thinly sliced
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon dried dill, or to taste


DIRECTIONS
Toss together the cucumbers and onion in a large bowl. Combine the vinegar, water and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, and pour over the cucumber and onions. Stir in dill, cover, and refrigerate until cold. This can also be eaten at room temperature, but be sure to allow the cucumbers to marinate for at least 1 hour.

I don't know what you are looking for? But I make one with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, salt, pepper and vinegar. It is a favorite. Sometimes I just use italian dressing instead of vinegar

I think my Mom used to add sour cream and onions to the cucumbers. I'm not sure though 'cause I've never liked cucumbers very much.

Now if you use lowfat or nonfat sour cream or plain lowfat yogurt

equal portions of...
tomato wedges
sliced onion
sliced cucumber

1/2 portion of crumbled feta cheese

equal portions of...
balsamic vinegar
honey
olive oil

and sprinkle to taste with...
salt & pepper

This is my great-grandmothers...

1 large cucumber
1/2 onion
1 tbsp lemon juice
4 tbsp cream
1 tsp grated cheese (raifort or parmesan)
1 tsp dill, roughly chopped
salt and pepper

You slice the first two ingredients to bite sized pieces, mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl, then combine all...

I like this one right away, my mom likes it to sit for a day before serving...one is crisp, the other soft & runny....
