Most Americans are all for religious liberty — at least until it protects a religion they don't like. Then all bets are off.

The latest test of popular support for the First Amendment is the controversy following news reports of Wiccan celebrations at Foot Hood, Texas, our largest Army post. In recent years, Army officials at Ft. Hood and other bases have accommodated requests by Wiccans for space to hold their ceremonies.

Some conservative Christian groups are so angry about Wiccan practices on bases that they have called on Christians not to enlist or reenlist in the Army.

That was a big fight some years ago to get the military to recognize Wicca as a real religion. They finally did after a lot of controversy. At the time, I was a supporter, but now that I've returned to the Lord and the truth, I know these people need saving more than being an official religion.

They do have a website, the Military Pagan Network. http://www.milpagan.org/
It's been around for awhile and it looks like it's being redone right now. Notice the first two items on their main page:

Bush Apologizes to Wiccan Widow

U.S. President George Bush apologized to a Nevada Wiccan who was left out of a presidential meeting with relatives of soldiers killed in combat...

Use of Wiccan Symbol on Veterans' Headstones Is Approved

To settle a lawsuit, the Department of Veterans Affairs has agreed to add the Wiccan pentacle to a list of approved religious symbols that it will engrave on veterans' headstones..

Anyway, they need to see that what they are doing is evil disguised as good, a false religion instead of the one true religion.

They are all false, when one specific religion is singled out as bad then that just makes christians look like a 2 year old that just go their toy taken away...

I certainly agree with that. As a matter of fact, I've advised my step-son to not re-enlist into the Army for a whole host of reasons, acceptance of Paganism by the Feds being one of them.

Muslim test our religious tolerance as well. But the real reason they don't want to enlist because Christians do not want to yoke with the unbeliever. and do not want to associate themselves with false religion. And of course, they want to stand up to the principles which the country was founded on.

I don't think they are trying to like 2 years old.

Little off the subject here, but this about Witches. The Witch of New Orleans claimed she protect N.O. from Katerna. I think God said "take the credit for my work OK stop this then you fake, then he thumped the levey the rest is history".

It's an interesting speculation, however, I don't think the Lord would "thump" a levey just to show a witch her error. He is giving her, like all of us, time to come to Him, time to accept His sacrifice for our sins in this Age of Grace. Hopefully she'll come to Him and won't have to know His TRUE judgement on the earth and its sinful inhabitants. After we're gone from this earth, only then will the earth get "thumped" by the Lord in the Tribulation. :nod

N.O. was and is now a very evil place, they practice voodoo there today. We lived 90 miles from there, went we went we got out before dark. It is no place to be at dark.

What about the millions of people who were thanking God for saving New Orleans before the levy broke? Be very, very careful before you assign supernatural status to natural events. The reality is that there will be hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, and fires regardless of who lives in these areas, Christian or not.

Wiccans/Witches are deceived by satanic forces, no matter what they think. I know many of them are sincere, nice people who love the Earth and nature, but they are deceived nonetheless. All we can really do is point out their errors, and let God handle the rest.
