My thought is - if you break one, DON'T TELL ANYONE!

Just don't touch it sweep it up with the hose of a bagless vacume,or dirt devil it can be that simple. If the vacume breaks would you rather pay 2004.28, or about 69.00. If need be put cheap rugs around were the bulb are at so the chips do not go into deep carpet.

That's funny, because I just read in the Sunday paper that you won't face any harm by cleaning up a broken CFL because the amount of mercury is so small. They should sue Home Depot for that advice. The CFL's reduced our electric bill $28 since we put them in most of the lamps in our house. They are great!
