We are seeing a increase of torandoes sweep across the mid section of the United States. Do you think God is telling America to wake up and put Him back in the driver's seat? Wonder what does all this mean in regards to our military in Iraq? If any!!!

I grew up not far from Greensburg, KS. These scenes are just heart rendering. I just heard on the weather channel for people in Pratt Co., KS to take tornado shelter. Pratt is just 30 miles or so east of Greensburg. That is where they have taken alot of people to the hospital. That is where the Red Cross Center is that is handling this disaster. It just seems so surreal. Almost like a terror movie. God's hand of protection seems to be most definitely moving off our country. :pray I just feel the personal need to repent and ask for mercy - for our entire nation.

I grew up in Kansas, not near Greensburg, further west. I went to college in Central Kansas, Sterling to be exact. Yes, I'm with you on God is slowly removing His hands from America. We need to pray that the wicked leaves our nation, cause if it doesn't, God can't heal our land/people.

Tornado season normally starts in March, April, May, not February. We've seen more tornadoes since February this year, then prior years. Since 2000, America has seen tornadoes 36 times, *not counting the numbers they have seen* this year alone. In June 2001, Iowa spotted over 26 in a single day. Just this year, Kansas and Colorado has had that many over a three day period.

It means it's springtime in the Central US. :idunno I live in Tennesee; we've had tornadoes in every month of the year, even around Christmas time. I really don't see it being anything out of the ordinary.

It seems like an awfully lot to me. And some are getting comments such as 'record breaking', 'worst in history', etc.

tornados occur year round. i was in florida durring the xmas tornado and the one on feb 2nd both of wich hit my town and both of wich i was within a mile of so i know this year has been nuts, but it doesnt seem out of the ordinary. for me out of the ordinary would be storms everyday and constant tornados... this year just hasnt been anything less than above average... since 2000 i would belevie america has been hit by many thousands of tornados. maybe you meant tornados over f3 wich is considered a major tornado, just like with the hurrican cat. scale. that would still be over a few hundred tornados over f3

April 3-4, 1974 was the super tornado outbreak. 148 twisters touching down in 13 states. 16 hours later, 330 people were dead and 5,484 were injured in a damage path covering more than 2,500 miles.
Not sure today is the worst in history.
