I am saddened that so many churches are out there blessing marriages on couples who have been divorced (unbiblically) and are remarrying, ie. COMMITTING ADULTERY in the house of God.

It is truly disgusting how these people just write it off saying 'oh, i'm forgiven...God is okay', but then ask for his blessing as they entire a lifetime of sin and direct disobedience to Him.

Christians have twisted the word to suit their own sinful lifestyle. The Bible is CLEAR, that if someone is divorced *unbiblically* that they are to remain celebate or resolve the original marriage.

I'm so SICK of people saying, "its okay, I have kids, God wants me to stay.
If you have been remarried and are living in sin with your new spouse, I plead for you to REPENT. Kids, Finances or Not... Deny yourself and Take Up Your Cross!

If you have been remarried unbiblically, you will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.

Romans 7:3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress

1 Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Luke 16:18 KJV Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery

If you're remarried, please repent of your wicked lifestyle. Get RIGHT with God TODAY!

Good post!

With the divorce rate hooevering about 50% it is something to be mindful of.

Most young people live together and may not ever get married. Many older folks, live together for financial reasons - social security and other benefits.

I can't argue with the Bible or condemn the messenger.

Jay, none of us are righteous on our own, NOT ONE OF US. But accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour covers us in His blood and makes us righteous in the eyes of God. The condition of someone's heart is in God's hands. There are so many circumstances that can lead to divorce - we do not have any idea why anyone here might have gotten divorced, or whether that person was saved at the time, etc.

Please tread lightly, as this topic can quickly turn hurtful and ugly.

I guess I am in trouble because my wife is not the only person who I had sex with. Forget the whole, old self dying, new self alive in Christ thing:doh. Oh and grace, yeah lets not worry about that whole grace of God thing :doh

If people are hurt by the TRUTH, they're most likely living in a sinful lifestyle and are feeling convicted but don't want to repent.

By God's word, we are to call these people Adulterers! Whether we like it or not, we are COMMANDED in the Word Too.

It is clear. Unbiblical Remarriage is adultery. Adulters don't inherit the Kingdom. How much clearer can it be???

Too many too list. But that doesn't mean I just write repentance off, like Christians who remarry do.

I am reminded of what Jesus said.....he who is without sin cast the first stone....
