Mark Dever - good guy, bad guy?

Hi folks,

Anyone know about a guy named Mark Dever and the website http://www.9marks.org/

I have a friend who is in a church that is questionable, and usually jumps on most trendy Christian things, but I see him quoting from this website lately.

I searched the forum but didn't find anything. I trust the opinion of the people here and was wondering if anyone knew about this person already.

Is book 9 Marks of a Healthy church is very good.

Also he's a member of the the Alliance of confessing evangelical with John Macarthur, John Piper, Don Carson, R.C. Sroul, C.J Mahaney, R. Albert Mohler, Jr etc
