You know, I never see this topic addressed, so I thought I'd be the first! :madgrin
I am single by choice, never wanted to be married, and really LOVE being single...always have. I think it's a gift that the Lord gives some people. I was just wondering if there are any other 'never married and lovin' it' ladies out there.

LOL.. thanks I was wondering what that means....
I am married but I do have a single friend who at first didn't like it but now she is seeing all the things that she can do for the kingdom that she wouldn't be able to do..... I applaud you for not marrying just because it was expected

It WAS expected. People began to ask me what was WRONG with me! But the idea of marriage has NEVER appealed to me, and I love my single life (I am now 52). You CAN do more for the Lord, and all of your love can be showered on him.
Personally? I think one reason I never wanted to be married was because everything wonderful I ever wanted in a man I found in Jesus! He spoiled me to anyone else!

I just posted something about this in the singles thread. I'm single too as well as some others here and I'm ok with it. :)
Like I said, I'm giving me entire life over to the Lord and praying for His will to be done. If that includes a mate, fine, if no fine.:)

I am happily married.. and I LOVE it!
But i have a close girlfriend that feels the same way as you.. We tease her sometimes; and say she'll never even date b/c there's no way they could live up to Jesus he's given her SO much in her life!! She is a very peaceful, happy person.. Your post reminded me of something she would say.. I can see why a single person in great relationship with Jesus would feel this way!! :thumb

I really think the Lord's perfect plan is marriage...but he gives the gift, if you will, of singleness to some people (male and female). It frustrates me, sometimes, to hear single people moaning about their "fate." It can be GREAT if you give the Lord a chance to work it out in your life, and believe me, when you walk with him as bridegroom...you sure aren't wanting for company, and you sure aren't lonely!
