“It’s amazing to be surrounded by this history. To think that we are standing where Alexander the Great has been,” he said, referring to the great Macedonian conqueror who died in Babylon. “Babylon is one of the oldest and first civilizations known to man. They created the wheel and the first calendars. Everybody coming here gets a sense of what this place really is and how it all traces back.”

Yes, indeed. History is coming full circle.

I'll third that! My liberal ( whom I love very much) dil said today that she couldn't believe what the UN was doing in Honduras. One of her friends is from there. I said "oh you mean the Useless Negoiators?" She agree. Amazing how things change. She even said "Obama is doing nothing about Iran or Honduras". I had to hold my tongue from saying, you wanted change didn't you?

Well, how about that...... I hijacked my own thread:lol2

That's OK, Mol, your thread, your privilege to hijack it.

And WOW about rebuilding Babylon!! I sometimes can't believe how blessed we are to be witness to history!!

I'll volunteer to fly to NY and help the UN pack. I'll drive the moving van to the airport and/or the shipyards.

Makes perfect sense. One morally corrupt body, moving to another equally morally-corrupt body.
