Just wanted to post this great song here. Dolly is a great country artist and has many songs, that didnt get much air time. This is one of them.. Coat of Many Colors. The message is a great one and reflects her humble upbringing. :)

I had absolutely NO idea Dolly Parton wrote this song!!:shocked We had this song on an album (not sung by her though) when I was a little girl and I have that same album on cd now so I have listened to this song all my life and have always loved it. Never in a million years would I have guessed it was Dolly's and that it was based on a true story from her life. Very cool. thanks for posting.:hat

I listened three times! Just Dolly, her talent, her voice and a guitar, so simple. So easy to see her God given talent in this rendition. I rejoice in the gift He gave to Dolly.

My grandmother loves this song, she won't listen to it often because it makes her cry.
