Daystar?

Anybody have any info/opinions on Daystar and Marcus and Joni Lamb? I know they brought Hal Lindsey over almost immediately when he had that falling out with TBN and Perry Stone is on there, but I don't watch it much as I have become very cynical of televangelists in general.

Personally, to me they are junior versions of the Crouchs- a lot of WoF. The fact that they had Mike Murdoch on their "beggathons" told me everything I needed to know :ohno. He is one of the biggest snake oil salesman to come down the pike. You are very wise to be cynical, because you are correct- most are in it for the buck, unfortunately.

We must do more than pray for people who are teaching and preaching error. We are to warn other Christians and shun placing ourselves under false teaching. This is Scriptural. Read the book of Jude. EVERY Christian is commanded to contend earnestly for the faith:thumb.

Thank you all very much. I was curious as that is the only Christian channel I get and I was wondering about them. I certainly don't want to start a bashing on anyone. I just don't know much about them.

I agree that we should pray for them, but we are also called to use discernment towards false teachers and I don't think that is bashing

I'm going to watch Hal Lindsey. I don't care if he is on Daystar. That doesn't mean I have to watch anything else on there. If there was someone preaching the Word of God on a secular network like CBS, ABC or NBC you automatically would you not listen to the man of God preaching just because he was on that particular network? I think Satan would really like that.

Oh, I agree. I watch Hal on TBN and Charles Stanley sometimes and a few others on Daystar. I do, however, usually change the channel when the Lambs or the Crouches come on their respective channels.
