My thoughts......
Could it be a touch of pride…wanting to make salvation harder than it is?
Christ is completely sufficient for any spiritual growth, and anyone that tries to add to His sufficiency becomes caught up in spiritual poverty. Paul urges us to walk in faith, because it is sufficient but we need to be careful that we are not robbed by false teaching, by placing ourselves into bondage by rules and regulations.
Even now in my life I find my heart still so treacherous. I still catch myself being self-righteous when I am attempting to prove another believer as being self-righteous. The Lord humbles me time and time again.
When you are humbled, there is no room for pride..
When you are humbled, you understand the sufficiency of Christ.
In humility you become pliable in the Potter’s hands.
In humility you realise your complete dependence on God.

Could it be a touch of pride…wanting to make salvation harder than it is? At one level yes.
But what is the root ...? The root is Satan's attempt to frustrate the simple plan of Salvation.
Paul called it what it is. It is another gospel. The whole of the book of Galations is the doctrine which explains it. There is an associated "curse" here that needs to be reflected on.
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
(Galatians 1:3-9 KJV)
Adding to the perfect work of Christ. "Perfect" is past tense.
Oh I'm 100% sure that those who add to the perfect think they are only doing good.
But how can the weak efforts of sin soaked vile humanity "add" a thing to a Holy God?
Even a pinch of leaven ruins the whole lump.
The only way is to rest completely on the finished work of Christ.
Will that then result in good works? Of course it will, and such reliance on the Holy Spirit will fill the believer with the Holy Spirit and all that comes with Him. This according to the Scriptures
But the order has to be correct.
If you parse the before cross ministry in Scripture you will see that every blessing is preceded with a requirement. If you do this ... you will be blessed with that.
If you parse the post cross ministry in Scripture you will note that every blessing is given ... and because of the blessing, you do what is good.
Everything changed at the foot of the cross.

I don't have time to read 52 pages, but the gist of that document seems to be saying that the pastor who says you must submit to Christ is adding to the gospel????? The thing is, if you believe the gospel, you will submit to Christ. It is a sign of faith, not how we get faith. Submission is the effect of having accepted Christ. I'm confused why they're against this and what they're really trying to say.
Could somebody please give a summary of this long, small typed, tedious document? Sorrry so lazy, but I read all day and this is over the top.

A question for you Blitzkreig:
Galatians 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you(spirit filled christians) are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Fallen from grace? Are you kidding me? Can true spirit filled christians actually fall from grace? Easy answer, um..ya :nod
Why then do so many believers grasp the erroneous notion asserting how "true believers" could never depart from Christ; under any circumstances? And if they did, "they were never saved to begin with".
If it is possible for "true believers" to depart(via deception/backslidding) from the grace in which they were called/saved,(just proved it by the words of Paul), by what grace will they be saved?(redemption of the body..aka rapture/resurrection)
If a person departs from the grace that saves, how will that person be saved? Grace? :ohno Is there "another grace" that we no not off? Moreover, not only did these believers depart from the grace that saves, they are now under a curse. But then again, if you depart from grace, what else would you expect? Red roses? A box of chocolates?
These Galatians were in deep trouble, so much so that Paul declares "I am afraid for you" What was Paul afraid of? Easy answer- the Galatians losing their inheritance which Paul labored so intensely for.
Conclusion of the matter:
For by the works of the law shall NO FLESH be justified.
I wonder if God is willing to make an unconditional exception to this rule for the believer: A believer who departed from his grace. :idunno
This verse is fascinating indeed:
Romans 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
The severity of God. :yikes
Apparently, God is not joking around/playing games. The grace by which he provided in Christ is to be taken extremely seriously(as if your life depends on it :scratch on second thought it does! :nod ) Considering what Christ went through: how he suffered, how he endured such contradiction of sinners unto himself: God, has no choice but to condemn those who walk away from this "goodness". Anything less would be a "slap in the face" to Christ.

Actually, you may be adding to the scriptures here by saying that those fallen from grace were ever actually saved:
Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
The fact is, there may have been many who did not repent even after they were warned by Paul.
If a person departs from the grace that saves, how will that person be saved? Grace? :ohno Is there "another grace" that we no not off? Moreover, not only did these believers depart from the grace that saves, they are now under a curse. But then again, if you depart from grace, what else would you expect? Red roses? You seem to feel that a person goes from being saved at one moment, to being unsaved at another, and then back again. I call it yo-yo salvation.
At any rate, it is unbiblical.
Pro 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

A question for you Blitzkreig:
There are a number of statements made in scripture to feed the children ... milk.
These are not meat.
A problem is that many can't seem to get by them. They don't understand it is an infinite God talking baby talk to those who need that baby talk ... as they can not digest the meat.
The sooner you get a dietary change the sooner you will graduate to a whole new level of understanding. Believe me ...
God does not have to wait to see what the decision of man is to determine man's outcome. He knows it from the beginning.
The sooner you can get by the nonsense that God can lose His own quite beyond His control the sooner you will be able to see past the Pentecostal error which they promote on the basis of "reason". It is neither reasonable nor is it Scriptural.
God isn't out there groping around waiting for men to tell Him what they are going to do. Open Theism. That is simply TV preacher speak and has nothing what so ever to do with the God of the Bible.
