I don't think we ever will. :tsk

Perhaps it's time to close this thread, don't you think? Because we can debate this issues till the cows come home (or the trumpet blows!).

I think the reason the thread is still open in because different people come and want to discuss the issue, then that thread ends up getting merged into this one. :idunno
I does seem to cause some dissent between believers, however.

BarbT, that is the most wonderful post I've read regarding the Holidays, Holy-Days (whatever you want to call it! lol), I've read in a long time.... Very short, to the point and I believe, you hit the nail right on the head.

My opinion is we have liberty in Christ. Arguing over such things takes away from our time that should be better spent on spreading the Gospel, or studying God's word or precious prayer time, you know? Many, many verses talk about disputings and strivings that are NOT GOOD. Striving over days to keep or not keep is EXACTLY what this thread entails...

Get a good study on 1 Corinthians, chapter 1. The body of Christ should be of ONE mind!!!

When I first saw this pop up again, I was wondering what on earth for. Then I remembered that some Christians want to hang us out to dry who love to celebrate Easter. I remember a time, when you never ever heard of a Christian who did not celebrate Easter or Christmas.
I am going to go with my Church to a local nursing home to sing on Good Friday. I am going to go to the Church I grew up in on Easter Sunday. I even plan on eating one Cadbury egg.

A Cadbury egg, Betty??? Uh, oh. That CAN'T be good. :heh

There is a lot of liberty in Christ, EXCEPT for Cadbury eggs. Sorry to tell you! :lol2

:hug It was just the thought of not being permitted to eat those half-dozen Cadbury's Creme Eggs I have waiting.

Ah, I gotcha! I hear you though. Those things ARE good.

Sorry, sometimes I'm sensitive and don't want to anger anyone. It's only because my close friend believes Easter to be pagan, so you know, you just never know how a joke is going to go over... :hug
